Easter and Christmas are both pagan.
Easter has a rabbit that lays colored eggs.
Parents lie to their kids about Santa Claus.
How is deception honoring the Almighty?
And no, I'm not a JW.

Its the intent with which you celebrate.

Depends how one celebrates them...
I've always associated Santa and the Easter Bunny with secular celebrations...

Easter, if a person will actually delve into it, its customs could in no way honor God.
It, like Christmas has many pagan symbols associated with it and the Creator of sacred days says it's in vain.
In Jeremiah 10..starting in the 3rd verse...
"For the customs of the people's are futile; for one cuts a tree from the forest, the work of the hands of a workman, with the axe.
4. They decorate it with silver and gold; they fasten it with nails and hammers so it will not topple.
What tree would you say is being perfectly described?
There are many customs and laws of conduct that could in no way ever been nailed to the cross.

The Latin Catholic church is responsible for instituting many of the customs and traditions held sacred by many protestant denominations.

Depends on the custom...
And the reasons for it...

Please elaborate.
Jews have numerous customs ordained by God, and others that developed throughout their history... If the purpose of the custom is to reinforce a lesson or commemorate an evemt (Passover/ circumcision/ ritual cleansing/ Kosher food) then it is not at odds with God's will...

What customs and traditions are you speaking of?

But where does that allow for associating anything pagan with the Holy Creator?

That's what I'm saying... It isn't pagan if it's directed towards God...

Have you ever studied the path of the early church?
People like Tertullian and Augustine are good starting points.
I'm going back to the pagan holiday thing with....The Council of Nicea in 325a.d.
Constantine and his associates decided to institute non biblical customs into the church.
Easter and Sunday were officially decided as doctrine.
Look it up, you won't believe what you can "actually read" about what you believe.
Origin of traditions and customs has always been between what God does allow and what He doesn't allow....no offense intended.
p.s...when Martin Luther fled the Roman church, he was leaving the Pope's claim as to his power.
But Luther made the mistake of bringing with him, all of the paganism instituted by the Latin church.

So you can honor God with the same pagan customs he said to avoid.?
