Whichever the object or action, when it is used to communicate h**e, it is h**eful. Again, that's how language works.

The metaphorical butthurt. . .

(I guess some use the term, butthurt because they are trying, really, really hard, not to think of or acknowledge people openly committing unmentionable sexual sins, right out loud, to the point that even the utterance of a pronoun indicating a person that might consider indulging in those actions or practices, is forbidden?!?)

. . . is for people ignorant of or ignorantly recalcitrant at the proper use of the parts of historically normal language and grammar (check Shakespeare's works for examples...) whenever their int***sigence is made apparent to others.

T***s people in the past few years offered alternate new words for speakers whose minds were not formed to comprehend or whose hearts are too immature to comply with the polite normal use of the g****r neutral third person pronouns. They were rejected as effete and contrived. Now that the normal, historic grammar is re-examined, and it's usefulness demonstrated, you say you won't do that either.

Two year olds answer every request with a "NO!"

Three year olds with, "WHY?"

When humans are past these annoying stages, they leave their longsuffering mothers to form learning groups to answer, "How to find out together?

If their particular mother was patient enough to allow them to live through the earlier stages...

My mother cross stitched a sampler while pregnant with the youngest of us, "Lord, grant me the patience to endure my blessings!" Followed by all our birth stats.

N.B.: Star Trek is a FICTIONAL odyssey... like the Bible.
Whichever the object or action, when it is used to... (show quote)

Star Trek is NOT fictional. Where were you raised? In a cave?

And you don't like the slang term "butthurt." Well, where I come from it refers to those who get all bent out of shape, get their panties in a wad and just plain get all goofy stupid over trivial things like "terminology" when we are all perfectly aware of what is being said and meant. Any one who gets that way over the word "male" when describing someone raised on testosterone produced in two pecan sized organs h*****g on by literal threads, housed in a sac of tissue, outside the body is just ignoring the natural fact of it. Now if y'all want to create a new category in sports for "other," I am fine with that but I am betting those MALES wanting to compete with the girls will still want to compete against the girls and not the "others."

No. I was raised in a quaint sorta anabaptist type Christian cult. But WITH phones, tv and automatic dishwashers. Hand cranked wringer washer though, til my teens. Habits.

I LOVE the word butthurt. I learned it on OPP from conservative Christians' swearing at me because I might have repeated some of the weird s**t the cult taught me about the Bible.

I foolishly assumed butthurt was a reference to chagrin over suffering from vigorously coerced male homosexual activities intensely associated with carnal knowlege.

Favorite from Childhood: "Speak where the Bible speaks, remain dumb where the Bible is dumb." Isn't as pejorative sounding in German.

I don't follow sports, much. But jock strap or bra, Gravity is the mutual enemy (along with her b***h sister, Radial Momentum with the special torsion effects!)

The long and short of it all is everyone gets “ butthurt” over some trivial junk in the midst of the bigger equation of things, and to the point of asinine ridiculousness..

The PCBS is now just as bad as what they were trying to correct earlier..The pendulum sways back-and-forth for a reason....

Conforming to a particular sociopolitical ideology or point of view, especially to a liberal point of view concerned with promoting tolerance and avoiding offense in matters of race, class, g****r, and sexual orientation is now over the top BS...Especially when used to hasten a situation by its h**e filled rhetoric ..

And, no, I did not stutter saying it..

Thank you all very much....

Well, since we agree about the essential gravity of this situation with pronouns, can we agree it will likely work itself out eventually and we can continue to speak our minds in language that drifts in forms and parts and meanings over time... I mean did anyone actually go LOOK at Shakespeare's English, or like me just shudder at the memory of 8th grade lit and move right along!?

And even, King James Version English, right? Different weird pronouns, dids't thou take note?

King James Bible Exodus 23:4
"If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again."
