I suspect its the Subconscious mind, uncluttered that allows Him to be heard or felt, even for the atheists etc.. Of course they will not acknowledge it dismissing it to their own rational..

Which is why it's so much easier to det clarity and communication in dreams, or a deep meditative state

Absolutely!! I always tell people that prayer is our turn to talk, and meditation is God's turn to talk. If more would be still and listen, discernment wouldn't be so hard😊
