Country-wide boycot....

of cable television for one whole month.
Everyone should cancel, and all at the same time! Call them, let's say on Monday afternoon starting at 1300 hrs eastern time, and cancel; everyone, not just a few.

Let them raise the rates on "zero customers" for the month of September. Let them see how ridiculous it is for them to get no service (payments that is) even when there has been no natural disaster.

My cable regularly goes "out" every Monday around 12 noon; it takes almost a week for the cable box to recover, and as soon as it does: BOOM!!! It goes out again!

Health insurance a joke? cancel it!

Cars too expensive? Don't buy them for a month, let GM screw themselves for a while; they've done it to us for long enough, let them see how it feels.

Can anyone tell me what in hell "GMO" actually means? Why would these i***ts actually have paid research teams to develop a way to genetically alter foods, if not to raise and keep the prices higher, on food? And now, hey are telling us that this trash is not good for us to eat; but the manufacturers and sellers have loopholes to get around telling us that is in the packages. Wow!

Am I the only person who cannot stand CNN's d********g ability to overly-promote meaningless drivel, and as soon as a cognizant conversation is taking place between two or more people, they limit this to a three minute segment?

Oh, and by the way: All media is liberal, even those who promote conservative idealism. If not so; you would never hear from them...ever!
Rush is just as liberal as is Jackson, (when it comes to promoting his own point of view) so let this too-often used term, die into the wastebasket of forgotten and not remembered snippets from our past.

Of course I know that I will not be agreed with on all of what I have said here, but this is alright: this is why I served, so that regular, unimportant people like myself could have a conversation about their opinions; even if they do not mesh with those of everyone else.

We had our cable rate reduced substabtially by informing them we had been offered a better rate by two other providers.

Ask for a new box. It may help.

I have not purchased, for myself, a new car in fourteen years and went German then. Before my spouse's recent purchase in 2011, he had not purchased in eight years. Again, did not do GM.

GMO is genetically modified. The biggest issue is it will not reproduce itself. You cannot take any seeds from GMO foods, plant the seeds and grow a crop.

The reason the public is so uninformed is because the news reports are never in depth. I, personally, would rather have less segments and have longer segments on a topic.

Without labels, there can be no d******eness.

I got rid of my newspaper in 2008 when Obama was elected because of their views on Obama and gun control. Their Liberal views were just too much. They offered me the paper free for 6 months and half price for the next 6 months. I told them to go take a leap and have not read their paper since. Even the manager called me and tried to get me to keep the paper. Everyone should take this kind of stand towartd the media. It didn't hurt me one bit and now I have more time to do what I want to do withoutsitting and reading their liberal crap.

Why stop there? This action can be taken anytime a product, or store, is charging too much.

When I lived in Phoenix I discoveed that the people residing in a suburb, Sun City (where most are retired and living on limited incomes), decided NOT to shop at the local supermarket. They began in the produce and we all know the time limits on that! Then they proceded onto other departments - just not purchasing. Even with canned goods - the store is required to accept a standard delivery once each month. How long do you think they can hold out before they're up to here with cans? That does not look too good for the store manager.

When this happens, the store puts those items on sale. At that time, they're all purchased. The manager finally realized that, rather than going through first no sales and then a sell-out, it would be wiser to simply lower the prices on everything - even dog food! This does not necessarily mean that they will always be pricing their products at the "sale" price but, overall, they will reduce their normal prices to what is acceptable by the consumers. I discovered that by going into Sun City to shop, I saved quite a bit on my food and pet bill.

Problem is - the inhabitants of Sun City "decided" to do something about the situation. Can we interest enough people to "stick together" long enough to accomplish something good for themselves? It can be done with small neighborhoods. Then it will spread.

I make a note to see the store manager and state my dissatisfaction. At times he/she will say that the prices are changed "at the home office." Don't believe it! There is shop I always frequent that makes good sausage (all kinds). I complained to the manager and two weeks later discovered that not only were the prices reduced on my usual purchases, but ALL the sausages were appreciably reduced. I gather I was not the only complainant. After all, the store cannot continue without customers purchasing their products.

It can be done. Not by one person but, get 100 people together and see what the effect will be.

On two occasions I was told that the prices had gone up because of the rise in gasoline! The second time I said, "Now wait. you used that same excuse two years ago." Gas prices have not exploded again in the last two years. Really, who do you think you're kidding?" You need not "do without." What happens if you only purhase two cans of tuna instead of your usual four? The store will feel the effects. Really, there are substitutes for the extra two cans. Let's get together and we CAN make a difference! :!: :!: :!:
