Perhaps the way to get things in perspective is to stop withholding from each paycheck the federal taxes and present each person a bill at the end of the year. Dribbles of money don’t seem like much but they are big when they come at one time. Perhaps people would then realize that the uses politicians find for money are not always necessary and those politicians that v**e to increase spending will find themselves looking for honest employment. The ‘Bridge to Nowhere’ in Alaska is a good example. Senator Byrd of W. Vir. getting lots of federal money funneled in to his state is another. Over and over excessive spending by both sides. Jesse Unruh of California, “Money is the mother’s milk of politics.” Time to cut the VISA card used by the Federal Government. Three months salary for Congress then send them home. Twelve months salary for President. Money for defense. All other federal spending covered as small business do, make a profit or close the store. Let states take care of their own expenses and people will soon learn to settle in states that fit their own beliefs.

I am beginning to worry somewhat as many are fleeing from the southern end of I-15. Already wanting to increase the size of government in Washington County. They moved here because it is better, then want to change it to make it the same as where they left.
