Whoa, "whoda thunk it", a Trumplican that can't admit when they have made a mistake... We all make mistakes and WHEN we do, not IF but WHEN, the best practice usually tends to be to acknowledge it, learn from it (if applicable) and move on, perhaps even joke about it, if one has a sense of humor and/or has sufficient enough self esteem to do so. To argue the lame "I never" gambit, as America 1 did, when clear, concise and unequivocal evidence clearly shows that they DID, that just defies all logic. It does serve one purpose though, it shows one's character flaws, it also tends to expose the character flaws of those that choose, NOT to point out the obvious fallacy of the "I never" gambit, choose NOT to abstain from commenting on the incident since "their guy" OBVIOUSLY made a simple mistake and chooses to compound the mistake by denying they had even made any mistake, but rather they choose to chime in, in defense of the one that can't admit to their own mistakes. Their is nothing wrong with pointing out when someone is wrong, there is nothing wrong with choosing silence over "being disloyal" to one's "network", there IS something wrong with throwing away one's own integrity in coming in and trying to defend a flawed character's character flaws.
How to be a better person 101: if "your guy" has made a mistake and refuses to admit to it, you can help them to "see the light" or abstain from commenting on it either way, just DO NOT make a "sacrificial lamb" of your own integrity in a failed attempt to distort the t***h to protect the feelings of such a flawed character.
Meh, while the t***h and facts are important, succeeding in getting some to admit when they are wrong is not only impossible, it isn't even that damned important nor worth the effort it would take in trying. As such, I see that it is time for a blanket "If you say so" and to get on with life in general. Enjoy.
