Arrested for 2 extra bullets

A man was arrested for violating New York's new gun restrictions after state troopers discovered a gun loaded with two more bullets than are allowed by law.

Gregory Dean Jr. was pulled over on Sunday in New Lebanon when authorities noticed his car's license-plate lamp wasn't working properly.

Troopers then noticed a .40 caliber handgun, legally registered to Dean, on the passenger seat of the car. The weapon was loaded with nine bullets rather than the seven bullets allowed under the state's recently passed SAFE Act.

If anyone believes he was stopped because his "license-plate lamp" was not working "properly", I have some ocean front property in Kansas I would like to sell. The guy had a "legally registered handgun" and the cops had to know it. That is the reason gun registration is a bad idea. In Texas, the individual is permitted, not the gun. The cop has to run your driver's license before he would know you have a Concealed Carry Permit. And that won't tell him if you have a 17 round Glock or a 6 round revolver.

Basically the State Troopers violated their oath of office.

Sadly, I live in Ca. and we are all about to become criminals when they pass all the additional laws up for v**e soon. We have more silly gun laws here than anywhere in the country.

Do any of those myriad of gun laws ever trip over each other.

Let me tell you what a Colorado resident told me about politics out there. He said we have been Californicated since so many liberals from California have moved in there.

oldroy. I hear that a lot from people in Idaho and Colorado. Californians seem to disrupt every place they decide to take over and it's usually the liberals that move into a new place and just have to have it their way. Many libs moved into the valley i live in and within a decade it turned into a nightmare here. Used to a very pleasant and friendly place to live. Now it's new rules and regs on a daily basis. Just couldn't leave well enough alone.

Now how many of them will admit what they are doing to other places? Darned few, if any.

I well remember one California family stopping at my neighbors' across the street for a visit. That night we had one of our better thunderstorms, one of many that year, and they headed back to California because they thought Kansas was just too scary. I can't see anyone who lives in an area that could easily break off from the US and become its own island. The San Andreas Fault is too scary for me. They can have that as long as they stay away from where I live.

They won't ever be back and the people they were visiting are at least as happy as I am.

Preface. While in school, my parents had to pay dearly for a math tutor three times a week. Solving for X is not my strong point unless it is how my brain works using NO numbers.

How to prevent states from becoming Californicated. California has, as you mention, the San Andreas Fault. A major earthquake occurs. California breaks away from the continental US; is pulled very far out into the Pacific Ocean and none of the airports survive. They are now an island with no way to travel to "good" states; establish residence and Californicate them.

May not seem like X, but I did solve how to not Californicate states.

All Americans should expect to be arrested at some point.
