In other news, Southwest Airlines is under fire for kicking a special-needs 3-year-old off a flight for absolutely nothing other than the risk that the kid *might* cause a problem while in the air:

Caroline Scott said her son was wearing a mask and wasn’t having any issues at the time of the flight, but she had alerted the airline to the possible problem days before, which prompted the pilot to make the decision.

What this will do is just encourage parents to keeps issues like this secret, which the airline doesn’t want:

@SouthwestAir
you owe explanation. Tickets were purchased, parents did all the right things, and your staff lied to them. I’d love to know why. I’ll be waiting.

Maybe a child at some future time might possibly want to take his mask off so the pilot gets to do this?! GFY @southwestair & when you're finished, take this kind of decision-making out of pilots' hands. Masks on children are bulls**t anyway.

The mass psychosis is spreading like wild fire.
As much as I love flying, the way things are today , I would sit in an electric chair before I would sit on an airliner. Traveling by air has been completely destroyed and is the most miserable experience that there is.

I agree with you. I stopped flying when they enacted TSA. That was the first c*******t step for flying in this takeover.

Due to the potential for tragedy during flights the pilots are given extraordinary discretion over what and who they allow on a flight. On a train or bus unruly or dangerous passengers can be simply put off at the next station or side of the road. The cost and disruption of landing an airliner in such situations is prohibitive to say the least. As someone who has flown quite a bit I have been subject to screaming brats kicking seat backs and making life hell for the duration of the flight. There are options like driving with problem kids or giving them Benadryl to make them sleepy. It is an antihistamine and cuts down on snot in their heads also which allows them to equalize ear pressure easier.

My grandson didn't have any disabilities but, in order to avoid a panic attack, I explained to him the noises the plane would make upon takeoff. He had the window seat and when we got airborne he said, "Cool!"
