I'm guessing the warrant gave them the right to search for Pelosi's lap top. That might be reasonable. But the trouble with these warrants and how they are handled are more like search and destroy operations and take no prisoners. I can't think of a single reason to wake up people and hand cuff them. The guests for example. Hold them in one room, at gunpoint if necessary, but probably not, while one person peacefully and systematically goes over the house looking for the intended laptop. Escorted and supervised by the home owner. If any laptops are found, are they the right model of Pelosi's laptop. If not, they have no right to take it or any cell phones and search them. If they can be opened and proven that they are not Pelosi's laptop, they have no right to take it. That would not be part of the warrant.
Now some might say that isn't how it works. Well, logic and common sense says it damn well should work that way.
