Your 2nd observation would limit our thinking about the world to the bubble of our own observable universe. All reading is second hand observation. I fail to see the reason for limiting what one thinks to only personal observation.

The "Right" are called the "right" rather than "left," because they are right about life. We want a government that lives by the "Rule of law, " and not a rule of a group that arbitrates it on the whim of how it "feels" about it. Currently, we are being dictated to by a bunch of childish adults that are angry toward American citizens who desire "law, order, and decency."
