People in the street do not want to hear h********c bible crap, now if these people wanted to talk about the love of god, and the good messages in the bible people wouldn't have any problem. When a bible thumping h**er wants to rail about ho..mo..sex..uals to people that don't want to hear it or are offended it is not okay.

Note to christians, if a country has turned 80% of it's churches into bingo halls people obviously do not want to hear about the h**eful poison in the word of god, that is the word of god according to that particular h**er.

"h**eful poison in the word of god"?
"Bible thumping h**er"?

That wicked rhetoric is right out of the Satanic Verses, man.

I know no Christians who condemn the sinner, only the sin.

Christian Pastor Arrested in London for Quoting ‘H********c’ Bible Verses

Police in London arrested a Christian street preacher for allegedly causing “alarm and distress” to pedestrians for citing allegedly “h********c” verses from Genesis.

On Friday, Pastor John Sherwood was preaching alongside Pastor Peter Simpson of the Penn Free Methodist Church outside the Uxbridge Underground Station — in Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s own constituency.

Writing in the Conservative Woman on Tuesday, Pastor Simpson said that Sherwood preached on the final verses of Genisis 1, saying: “God’s design in creating mankind was to set human beings in families, headed by a father and a mother, not by two fathers or by two mothers. The distinction within mankind of just two g****rs, male and female, made in the image of God, constitutes the essence of God’s created order.”

Simpson said that the police informed them that three complaints were made in response to the street sermon.

He said that a police officer warned that he and Sherwood should avoid making any “h********c statements” and that there is “no freedom to make statements which offend people”.

The police ultimately d**gged Sherwood off his step stool and forcibly handcuffed the septuagenarian preacher.

“This dignified man of God, who is in his early 70s, was marched off to a nearby police car, as one of the helpers from my church cried out, ‘What has happened to us as a nation that a man can no longer preach from the Bible?” Pastor Simpson related.

Video of the incident was published on social media on Tuesday by the charity Christian Concern.

In a statement given to Premier Christian News, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “At 13:35hrs on Friday, 23 April, officers on patrol were f**gged down by a member of the public who made them aware of a man allegedly making h********c comments close to Uxbridge Underground Station.

“A number of other people also approached the officers with concerns about the man’s language.

“Officers spoke with the 71-year-old man and he was subsequently arrested on suspicion of an offense under Section 5 of the Public Order Act.”

Simpson said that Sherwood spent the night in lockup in a detention center near Heathrow Airport and was not released until noon the following day. Sherwood reportedly remains under police investigation.

He relayed that during his detention, Sherwood was questioned by officers about what he would do if he had a homosexual child.

“It is surely the task of the police to ask questions about the specific alleged offense, not more general questions about why someone holds a personal view on an aspect of Biblical morality,” the Pastor noted.

PS. 80% of the churches in England have closed down or became Bingo halls. So, speaking the word of God is now an offense to many. Without a Constitution or freedom of speech law, they are at the mercy of the Government. When lack of morality holds precedent over the word of God, they are lost.

It wasn't the words of God that got them into trouble............................it was their commentary.

You can love your neighbor without encouraging his sinful behavior. If, instead of celebrating sodomy the person was celebrating euthanasia of people who did not celebrate same sex behavior or celebrating and encouraging sex with their dog or little children, would you say that they have the right to have that kind of relationship if it pleases them. Remember that many pagan religions encouraged sex with children and then offering the child to be k**led as an offering to the pagan god. Of course you know that sex with animals has been part of many ancient cultures too. If your idea is that anything goes if you want to do it (and your statements would indicate that) then no holds bared destruction of all that is good in people works well for you. However, it is not right or moral in Gods eyes and it is HIS law that I choose to follow.

What is the problem with finding it offensive? Is our streets a polling center where the majority decides what they want to hear and what they don't? I gripe all the time at the offensive things I am forced to see and hear and read. Some of it is on here. But I complain to my wife and family. it goes no farther. I do NOT complain to the police. I do NOT try to stop them from exercising their free speech.
So I will ask you the same question I asked RR. Do you believe in, and support free speech, or is "free" speech limited to the subjects you "approve" of? Or just to things that do not "offend" you? Is the people around you obligated to seek your approval? And do you do offer others that same courtesy? Be careful how you answer the last one.....too many on here have read what you say to and about other people in your posts.

"fairy tales"? Oh, boy, another ignorant fop with his head up his ass and his feet in the clouds.

The Holy Bible is the most thoroughly researched book of scripture in human history, no other scripture has been so exhaustively researched and studied for 2000 plus years.

The Holy Bible constitutes the work of 42 authors on 3 continents over a period of 1500 years, and without divine inspiration, it would have been impossible to sustain the accuracy and consistency of its message for that long. The Holy Bible is the foundation of two of the world's three monotheist religions. Islam being the 3rd.

The Koran, OTH, is the result of one man's "revelations" over 22 years, and Mohammed only memorized his experiences and passed them along to scribes.

The Holy Bible remains the number one best selling book of all time and is the most widely distributed, bar none. There is no denying the impact the Holy Bible, particularly the Gospels, have had on human affairs.

One third of the world population are Christians. Moreover, 85% of the world population is affiliated with a religion of some kind,

IOW, out of 7.8 billion people, 6.6 billion of them believe in a power greater than themselves. Where does that leave you?

I don't care if you are an atheist, an agnostic, a pagan, a Satanist, or just an uneducated Delta Foxtrot, your world view is totally missing a meta-narrative, you have no over-arching story upon which to base and inform your world view. And you think we have a "distorted take on reality".
"fairy tales"? Oh, boy, another ignorant... (show quote)

A very well researched book of fiction. And it portrays a very shallow description of what ever is in charge. We are not privy to the t***h.
Do you still believe the earth revolves around the sun? Fiction

We still do not know where RR or Woody stand on free speech.
All indications so far is that they think speech is predicated on not offending others. Who decides what is offensive? Majority rule? Or is the 1st Amendment still in effect in America?

Odd.
Every left-winger wants to express outrage at public speaking about God, yet none of them want to go on record about their stand on free speech. Makes one wonder.
I have to run an errand, so you kids have fun without me. I will catch up later.
