That's a nice attempt to flip the "fear" narrative but it's a no go on me. I don't fear black people or any other race of people. I certainly don't fear gay people, I just find them d********g. I don't fear immigrants but I see daily what i*****l i*********n is doing to areas near where I live and work. I******s shooting guns into the air and at each other nearby is not what I want here in the area. I don't fear China but I think our gov had better open their eyes to the threat China imposes on the US both economically and militarily. I do fear terrorism and know that it could rear its ugly head at any time and place and shouldn't be invited in. Socialism is also not something I fear but I can see socialistic ideals gaining ground to extremes that I don't want to see in my country.
That's a nice attempt to flip the "fear"... (

Whether it's a "no-go" for you personally or not doesn't change the fact that right-wing politics is in fact driven by unfounded fear. You can say that about the left too but it's far more marginal on the left. Fear mongering on the right has moved into the mainstream. That's the essential difference.

Now, as for v*****es touted to be 95% effective, how was that scene we all saw in the gov chambers common sense. ALL were v******ted. Even if a v******ted person pass it on, an unproven idea, if all are v******ted, what is the danger if v*****es are truly 95% effective???
Are you seriously asking that question? What does 100-95 equal ChJoe? Can you do math? Is it 5? So, doesn't 95% effective suggest a 5% risk? Secondly, most Americans have yet to be v******ted. So Congress is still trying to encourage people in the general public to wear masks to slow the spread until more people can be v******ted. So doesn't it make sense for Congress to set an example? As in lead by example? Does that phrase not mean anything on the right anymore?
ChJoe wrote:
If what you claim is true, why haven't we been wearing masks and distancing for our entire lives?
Well, I guess that's because the last time we had a v***l outbreak this bad was in 1918.
ChJoe wrote:
Does not your narrative include all v*****es?
No, it doesn't because we're talking about C****-**.
ChJoe wrote:
Flu? Measles? Polio?
V*****es are available for all of those. Not sure what your argument is here.
ChJoe wrote:
For the vast majority, H1N1 is far more virulent and deadly for those under 60 than C***d ever was?
Is that a question? (Your question mark at the end says it is). I'll answer with a simple fact. World-wide 284,000 people died from H1N1 in 2009 when we were hit with that v***s. Compare that to the 2,000,000 people who died (worldwide) from C****-** in the first 12-months of the p******c. I would call the later example a bigger problem. Of course it's possible that the only reason for that is we had a better president in 2009 than we did in the first 12 months of C****-**.
ChJoe wrote:
Measles used to k**l 800,000 per year. Narry a mask or distancing recommendation. Polio? Chicken Pop's. Same argument.
Again... we have v*****es for measles. Measles ceased to be a national emergency when Americans got v******ted. This was back in the day when Americans were less dysfunctional and they didn't throw tantrums every time they were told it might be a good idea to v******te.

I personally don't want my gov telling me I can't gather with my family or friends.
Well, I currently live in PA and the government here isn't telling me I can't see my family and friends. And I do it all the time. In fact, I flew to California a few months ago to visit more friends and family and the government there didn't object either. So, why don't you stop exaggerating your victim role and just stick with the facts? We have 50 state governments in this country all with different suggestions about the size of gatherings. No one is going to jail for visiting their family.
ChJoe wrote:
I see them cram thousands of un-v******ted immigrants WITH C***d into holding centers without regard for masks or distancing and yet gov says a church can't hold indoor services???
There is no reason why people can't worship outdoors. Asking them to consider it is sound advice. As for the prisons and detention centers... well you tell me what choice they have. Go ahead. I'm listening.

The expert F***i has contradicted himself too many times and continues to do so.
Apparently, you don't know what an update is. Scientifically-oriented people get it because science is a constant process of improving estimates. Religiously-oriented people often don't get it because in religion there is the idea of an absolute t***h that can never be changed. In other words, scientists are learning where the faithful already know everything. (or so they think).
F***i is keeping us updated as experts learn more and yes, sometimes updated information will seem to contradict previous information. That's how the learning process works.

The media and the fear mongerer's like your self hype up the fear but even now are admitting that they can't ride this tidal wave of fear forever...
Who are you even referring to?

LOL - Two people in a car driving down a steep incline. One is concerned that the brakes seem to be failing and the other is freaking out that the song on the radio is a message from Hell. Not all fears are the same. Some are rational and some are not. The fear of g****l w*****g is a rational concern because whether or not it's true the models actually show how it COULD be true. Fear mongering is the vending of irrational fear and that's pretty much entirely on the right. I would not have said that 20 years ago, but I am now.
ChJoe wrote:
Do what you want but your argument holds no water and you are jacked up believing that which you have stated here.
Rational people almost always see the water in my argument. Irrational subscribers of right-wing fear almost never do.
