ABC news reports that on Monday a 9 yr old girl, being taught how to use an UZI SUBMACHINE GUN, lost control of the weapon and accidentally k**led her instructor.

The shooting happened at 10 a.m. at "BULLETS AND BURGERS", a gun range within the "Last Stop Tourist "recreational" Complex", near Las Vegas.

Well it certainly turned out to be the last stop for a dumbass ammosexual UZI instructor.

Is it any wonder that so many residents of Western Europe and the other developed first world countries have such contempt for American "culture".....or lack of it.

How many mistakes can you find in the judgment of the society that enabled this kind of incredibly preventable tragedy. Many Americans, including our President and the Democratic leadership would like us to have sane gun control like the rest of the developed world and not be a planetary laughingstock.

Hey, mixing children, machine guns, and burgers....what could possibly go wrong???

I am actually smart enough to not dine in a restaurant named "Bullets and Burgers". Only the lowest form of human being would take their child to dine there. Bunch of anti-social violent losers that need to be constrained by dramatically more effective gun control.

Any parent who would take a child there needs to be visited by child protective services and have their child removed to a sane and safe environment. The instructor? I guess he won't be signing any Georgia style "guns everywhere" petition.

Taking a child to "Bullets and Burgers" is reckless endangerment. In many states, failure to report such parental behavior by school or medical personnel is grounds for discharge and loss of professional license.

The owners of "Bullets and Burgers"? I imagine the damage awards will put them permanently out of business.

What would you think about an age limit for children blasting machine guns? Would twelve be unreasonable, or would that infringe on the second amendment rights of nine year olds? As they say a well armed playground is a polite playground.

You miss the crux of the problem Brian. You need a license to carry a gun, drive a car, etc. but, there are no requirements mandated for having children. Hence, it's lunatic parents that would have a nine-year old firing an Uzi on a gun range that is problematic not, gun ownership or, guns period.

You can't fix stupid, as the last two p**********l e******ns should have illustrated and, you can't legislate sanity. As long as there are dangers existing in the world, there will be people that embrace them and pay the price.

I am a member of the Single Action Shooting Society, where kids as young as 5 go to the range and practice with their parents on gun safety. At about eight they are ready to compete, but not with an Uzi. I would say that That was not a typical Day of the Gun Goobers.

The US may be high in gun murders, but is in around 70th place worldwide for murders.
In the past 20 years, despite all the sensationalism and publicity given to some shootings, firearms murders in the US have declined by 50%. That is TOTAL number, not per capita. That's right, you progressive morons; in spite of a huge population increase, in spite of a huge spike in the number of privately owned firearms, and especially in spite of several million concealed carry permits being issued, the bloodbath you predicted never happened.
Matter of fact, something else you i***ts never address, [undoubtedly because of it's RAAAAAACIIIIIISST!!! connotations], is the FACT, as per FBI statistics, there were 9000 odd firearms murders in the US last year. About 7000 of the victims were black. Something like 94 -95 percent of the perpetrators were black. In other words, nearly 70% of both the victims and the murderers came from a group that represents around 6% of the population. B****s are 13% of the population, however, virtually all the crimes are committed by black males 15-45 years of age, about 6% of the populace. That's not quite right. The perps were in the 6%, the victims were of all ages. My bad.

Unfortunately, the "expert" was anything but. Anyone who has fired an Uzi, KNOWS it climbs up and to the left when on full auto. He was standing to the left. Anyone who has dealt with children, ALSO knows that a fear response is a clenching of the fist, thus ensuring that the weapon would fire until the clip emptied.

The girl won't be charged, the instructor can't be and the parents will blame the instructor. I feel sorry for the girl. She has to carry that for the rest of her life. I hope her parents are proud of her first k**l.
