What ever became of the 63 million doses of hydroxychloroquine purchased by Trump's aid Peter Navarro? How much was paid?
The hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine fiasco was an example of government waste in a time when congress was trying to put the breaks on expansive spending. The government started stockpiling supplies of the drug in late March, 2020 after President Trump touted it as "very encouraging" and "very powerful" and a "game-changer," despite no proof that it benefited C****-** patients. 94 million doses were sourced through various means. 31 million were distributed causing an estimated 770 deaths from misapplication before the stop order leaving 63 million doses on hand.

The state of Ohio purchased more than 2 million hydroxychloroquine pills for $602,629, Utah purchased $800,000 worth of the drug and Oklahoma spent $2 million on it. Perhaps another 40 million dollars was spent by states in a bidding war that drove prices up.

The stockpile was mostly destroyed in January of this year to prevent misuse.

Where can I get some? I’d rather take a chance of getting a v***s that is 99.9% survival rate and cure with these drugs than to take a chance on an experimental shot that was developed by people h**ers!

Spending on the recovery and any other catastrophic event is needed and can not be avoided.

spending because of a stupid comment made by a stupid fool is beyond any rational POV, regardless of party or opinion..

Gosh, how lucky we are to have you point out such a monstrous conspiracy .. known only to you and a few other selected individuals..

Lord you must try and fight the brain control you have fallen into..

I advise you not to get the shots.. no matter what.. the after effects from both of mine were hobble, sore arm, lasted about 2 hours each time.. do not take the chance.. show how loyal you are to the former occupant and do not fall for anything logical..

remember, Louis Pasture was a radical...

did you not read the post? According to that all the stockpiled supplies were destroyed... but a black market search could very well turn up a dose for you.. after all, arsenic is quite easy to buy..

go for it.. tonight,, get it done, act on it now..

Or lead, join or get the hell out of the way.. says the same thing.. you are of no help to America..

Frosty, do you even comprehend what you are saying? Blue states are what is sinking this nation. How can you even imply they are doing good. Just look at the stats on crime, unemployment, and the bad things that are happening. It's all in the blue states. You complain about spending 600,000 when your boy is wanting to spend 5 Trillions on mostly pork. Do you know how many times 600,000 goes into 5 Trillions? If you have trouble with that calculation, I will be happy to help you out. Why don't you try to put things into perspective. I've noticed that most of the liberals have pulled out of commented on OPP. I don't blame them.

Take a wild guess where that money, a very few "sepcial" people

President Donald Trump reportedly owns a stake in a company that produces hydroxychloroquine, the anti-malaria drug he has repeatedly touted as a c****av***s treatment even though his experts say there’s no strong evidence it works.

Trump “has a small personal financial interest” in Sanofi, the French drugmaker that makes Plaquenil, the brand-name version of hydroxychloroquine, The New York Times reported Monday.

In addition, Sanofi’s largest shareholders include a mutual fund company run by major Republican donor Ken Fisher, the paper said. Trump’s three family trusts, as of last year, each had investments in a mutual fund whose largest holding was Sanofi, according to the Times. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross also had ties to the drugmaker, the Times reported.

Trump’s “assertiveness” in promoting the drug contrary to the recommendation of top health experts “has raised questions about his motives,” the Times noted.

The financial news site MarketWatch and The Washington Post later estimated Trump’s stake to be worth between about $100 and $1,500, though the Post noted his trusts may have amassed other investments since his most recent disclosure. “He does look to have more than that modest sum invested in Sanofi, because, unmentioned in the Times report, his trusts also hold broader European stock-market index funds,” MarketWatch pointed out.

Agreed. It has been proven as a good cure in the early days or at least keeping it from going bad. And it is a proven drug. Period. and not expernmental like these v*****es that they are now stopping after hundreds of millions have gotten shots.

Think of how much more Biden could give Pakistan for t*********r studies, or give to Minnesota to study why progressives in that state are mentally challenged. You’d think perm would be for that. He might benefit directly.

Who ordered that it be destroyed?
Learn that, and we might get somewhere.

And, what would be considered "misuse"?

Maybe using it to keep people alive, and slow down the fear factor?

Seems to me, Permi, that you really don't think a lot, and walk the line you're told to.

Lol! You actually seem to trust politicians!!

Let me lay some cold hard facts on you with a tad of my own opinion thrown in.

Fact: There isn't a single Washington politician who gives two scats about any of us personally.

Fact: That drug, in conjunction with other therapies showed much promise when this all started.

Fact: As soon as Trump said it was a promising treatment, the l*****t media went nuts because he said it.

Opinion: How many power brokers had to shut that one down, and how many minions caved to keep their cushy jobs.

Opinion: Everyone came out against it because Trump said it.

Fact: Doctors who said it worked were prevented from using it.

By who? And why?

I don't know, but it ain't right to use a v***s for politics.

And, that's what's been done. As well as a choice few taking thousands of deaths to the bank.

I'm no conspiracy guy either. I just observe, smell, and taste.

This one looks, smells, and tastes bad to me.
