What ever became of the 63 million doses of hydroxychloroquine purchased by Trump's aid Peter Navarro? How much was paid?
The hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine fiasco was an example of government waste in a time when congress was trying to put the breaks on expansive spending. The government started stockpiling supplies of the drug in late March, 2020 after President Trump touted it as "very encouraging" and "very powerful" and a "game-changer," despite no proof that it benefited C****-** patients. 94 million doses were sourced through various means. 31 million were distributed causing an estimated 770 deaths from misapplication before the stop order leaving 63 million doses on hand.
The state of Ohio purchased more than 2 million hydroxychloroquine pills for $602,629, Utah purchased $800,000 worth of the drug and Oklahoma spent $2 million on it. Perhaps another 40 million dollars was spent by states in a bidding war that drove prices up.
The stockpile was mostly destroyed in January of this year to prevent misuse.

Who ordered that it be destroyed?
Learn that, and we might get somewhere.
And, what would be considered "misuse"?
Maybe using it to keep people alive, and slow down the fear factor?
Seems to me, Permi, that you really don't think a lot, and walk the line you're told to.
Lol! You actually seem to trust politicians!!
Let me lay some cold hard facts on you with a tad of my own opinion thrown in.
Fact: There isn't a single Washington politician who gives two scats about any of us personally.
Fact: That drug, in conjunction with other therapies showed much promise when this all started.
Fact: As soon as Trump said it was a promising treatment, the l*****t media went nuts because he said it.
Opinion: How many power brokers had to shut that one down, and how many minions caved to keep their cushy jobs.
Opinion: Everyone came out against it because Trump said it.
Fact: Doctors who said it worked were prevented from using it.
By who? And why?
I don't know, but it ain't right to use a v***s for politics.
And, that's what's been done. As well as a choice few taking thousands of deaths to the bank.
I'm no conspiracy guy either. I just observe, smell, and taste.
This one looks, smells, and tastes bad to me.
