Gun control laws are not for criminals or those bent on harming others because they will ignore them. They are designed to control the general population and those who will stand up to tyranny.

Logically, Guns have never stopped well armed and trained professional soldiers. What does stop dictatorship wanna bees? It's no secret, Citizens that are knowledgeable about candidates and v**e. A squad of Marines or an Apache helicopter attack could defeat all the m*****as and other s*******s terrorists in the country. Guns k**l people in big numbers in this country, v**ers use democracy. It hasn't failed yet.

Unless a civilian holds a valid Class 3 FFL, he or she cannot legally purchase or own a machine gun. (FYI: a semi-automatic firearm IS NOT a "military assault gun".)

100 round magazines are a novelty, they are expensive to buy ($350 and up) and to feed. A loaded 100 round magazine adds considerable weight to the overall weight of the gun, they make the gun unwieldy and difficult to conceal. I have never seen a shooter anywhere using a 100 round magazine. Only combat machine gunners need mags of that capacity.

There is nothing in the current Soviet style efforts at gun control that even approaches common sense.

What, to you, is common sense gun control? Everything you say is already banned. If you don't want a gun then don't have one, that's your right. But quit telling the rest of us how to live. If the government really wanted your guns, they would have them already. No amount of guns you can buy would stop it. Get a grep!

There are far more of us who are gun owners that will not give up our second amendment rights than there are gun grabbers in the military and law enforcement, the majority of whom support the second amendment. The left knows they need to break down any resistance through incrementalism. As far as wanting our guns, they have said such. They don't have the firepower. They couldn't even stop unarmed protestors from entering the Capitol nor r**ts in the streets of our cities last summer.
