I suspect a true historian makes no judgement about the worst or best president until long after the administration is out of office. History generally does not make any final word until more than 50 years later. If any historian who is talking about Obama being a great president-and I would like to see the criteria used to make that determination-and Trump being the worst, again-by what criteria- I would seriously doubt that they were true "historians". However they rank the presidents, there is most assuredly an element of bias, unless they were not around at the time of the administration they are judging. I would take what they say with a grain of salt. They may be correct, but it is much too soon to state it as fact.

I strongly believe that that arrogant little bustard, Obama, was among the worst of all the presidents. But I'm reserving my judgment of Trump while still examining history then and now.

Obama was, up until now, one of the Presidents least respectful of the Constitution, in addition to FDR and that r****t Woodrow Wilson. The fact is that Democrats can't escape their party's history of supporting the Confederacy, starting the KKK, making Jim Crow laws and promoting segregation, and they are still the r****ts they have always been.

They escape that regularly by not stating it in their revised history of the US, and instead making Republicans out to be the bad guys. They are pretty successful at it, too. While most conservatives would really like to see our schools go back to teaching basics and helping children to learn to think, Dems are busy with Black History Month, T*********r silliness, and g****l w*****g nonsense as well as the old standard "r****m" which apparently means anything they want it to as long as it fits the narrative. An educated populace does not suit them. By the way, Washington and Jefferson were certainly the first in our history to defy the Constitution. Jefferson had no authority to complete the Louisiana Purchase, and after the fact, Congress went along. Washington wanted only land owners to have the right to v**e, and refused to emancipate his s***es, belying the "All men are created equal" clause of the Declaration of Independence.

I would greatly disagree with Kennedy's assessment of Jefferson's intelligence. He went to great lengths to expunge any reference to Jesus and His miracles from the Bible-I wonder what he was actually trying to do-his was the only Bible he could do that to, after all. Pretty silly, I think, and not at all what a highly intelligent person would do. But he was a Deist, as most of our founders were-they do not believe in the Trinity, and believe that God, after creation, pretty much left it to its own devices. I believe they refer to God as the great Clockmaker-He made the clock, wound it up, and now leaves it alone. They do not believe in the inerrancy of Scripture, nor can they be properly termed Christians, though they founded this country on Judeo-Christian principles.

trucker, You are absolutely correct. Historians need to look at an historical event after a lot of years. This is not the case with many other former Presidents. Johnson and Hoover are examples. Trump is the only POTUS in our history that tried to o*******w the government, refused to to take part in a peaceful t******r of p***r, refused to admit that he was defeated in an e******n, and is an honest to G-d, sociopath.
