The Governor of Texas just thumbed that state's nose at MLB and the dolts in its leadership. It's time that more people send a loud and clear message to organized sports and their players, be it MLB or the NFL: Keep your i***tic ideas to yourselves. Actors and athletes should learn that what the typical, average spectator wants to do is see entertainment, on a screen or TV, or athletic competition, not hear political opinions/actions, etc. This was his recent letter to the head of the Texas Rangers, in response to the offer the throw out the first ball this year:

Of course to avoid the obvious hypocrisy Abbott also publicly rejected all corporate campaign donations made to himself or any other Texan Republican. His opinion that Corporations should never engage in any political actions or voice opinion on legislation would be a ridiculous face otherwise.
