Coos county where I live is suffering from lack of funding for police protection. The sheriff department has a big sign at their front desk listing all of the crimes they will not investigate. If you are a victim of theft they mail you a complaint form. I was attacked by 3 large dogs and the deputy never came to see me. My wife stood in the middle of the street and stopped one a day later and made him take our statements and do something about it. Tweekers roam the streets at night stealing and siphoning gas. My neighbor filled old rusty gas cans with water and crankcase oil then put a cup of gas in to make it smell ok. He put these outside of his fence to steal.---Lol there were a few junkpile tweeker cars that quit running in the neighborhood.

The C*****l p****e needed to be defunded and let the Demorats to suffer behind their bob wired 6' high fences and walls. In fact, the 20,000 National Guard troops should have been defunded and not allowed to protect the demorat wimps who were holed up in their D.C. bunkers. Give them a taste of their own medicine. In fact, most politicians should be defunded and have to use their own money $$$ to stay in office.

Violent crimes are surging everywhere, including red States and cities.

America Saw a Historic Rise in Murders in 2020.
Some places remained as peaceful as ever. In others, the rise in murders was even more dramatic than it was nationally. Chicago saw a 37 percent year-over-year increase between the first halves of 2019 and 2020. And in New York City, by December 20, 2020, there had been a 40 percent increase over the 2019 numbers.
It’s normal for the violent-crime rate to vary a bit year-to-year, of course, but 2020 marked a genuinely historical increase. “If you wanted to think of this as potentially erasing several decades worth of progress, that wouldn’t be an overstatement,” said Max Kapustin, an assistant professor at the Department of Policy Analysis and Management at Cornell University, as well as an affiliate at the University of Chicago Crime Lab and Education Lab. In Chicago, for instance, Kapustin said that the murder rate is back to where it was in the mid-to-late 1990s.

Coos County is almost 100% Republican and has always been. We are the only county in the United States that forbids law enforcement officers from enforcing any new gun laws.--Go figure.

Always have been--Several of my cousins are police or are married to a cop. My cousin Phillip Green is the most decorated Police officer in Spokane Washington and another cousin Joe Hatfield was chief of police of Centralia Washington till he retired. Another cousin of mine Sam Shaw is called in by police because he is an expert on explosives and bombs.

It was unreal-- I fought like an elk surrounded by Wolves-- One would try to get my attention while the others would come at me from the side or behind-- The fight lasted for a few minutes with me cursing and hitting dogs with my fists as hard as I could. My wife was screaming -the neighbors came out- The owner finally called them off. I kept a pitch fork by my gate after that. I learned from that experience that a dog in the attack mode does not feel pain.

They were renters who got evicted--They spirited the dogs out of town to hide them from animal control. They did get a fine they will never forget.
