Hell, reincarnation is logical but not certain

I would be interested to know why you say reincarnation is logical-just wondering-since dead is dead and coming back as anything even the same as when you died seems to stretch the logic a bit. I frankly never thought of it as logical, since how you return is based on the life you lived before, right? I may be wrong about that....I know next to nothing about reincarnation-just some assumptions. The life you lived before has with it some circumstances you have no control over, so to come back higher or lower seems rather arbitrary. Have not thought about it much, actually, because I believe it when the Bible says "It is appointed for a man once to die and then the judgement." Hebrews 9:27 or thereabouts, I believe. And then it talks about Christ dying once for all. Interesting though.

We it explains why some are born with more god given gifts than others. We learn a little each lifetime

Lot or research on young children who have memories of people and places they have never been

I am old and close to experiencing wh**ever comes next

The way society is regressing , it appears we are learning less with each lifetime.

Morally yes. How to hurt others may be on the increase though.

Probably due to the internet. People say things online they would never say in public, and that tends to bleed over into real life.

Yes, that and greed. I sometimes think greed and corruption are now considered virtues to be admired in the fight to have more

Yup! That too was told would happen in the Bible-evil would be called good and good evil, Nowadays, evil is not only called good, but it is celebrated, and good is vilified and driven out of many places. Isaiah 5: 20 or so, Romans 1:18 and following say "Woe to those-----and so it goes.

Yes. Christ 2nd. Commandment, love thy neighbour is now evil if they are not of your tribe

Yes, and certainly the first, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind, is most vilified. To put God first is anathema to some-if there even is a God. It is not inclusive or it is not loving to tell some one there is but one God-and all others are false. That is discrimination of the highest order, and will not be tolerated. I do remember a segment on the Bill O'Reilly show on Fox several years ago, where one of the "experts" stated that those who believe in a young earth, and 6 literal day creation need to see the light. And then he stated that such "Ignorance should not be tolerated." So apparently he would be all for the elimination by wh**ever means of anyone who does not buy into evolution or the Big Bang, or wh**ever. I was astounded that a "great" Roman Catholic such as O'Reilly did not challenge that-and so I stopped watching him. I happen to be a Creation believer-6 24hour days-and I am not a danger to anyone-at least not to the point I should not be "tolerated." Yoicks-this was before the total abrogation of the right of free speech. So this should be no surprise.

You skirted the 2nd. Commandment nimbly. Christ said that and today’s Christians just totally ignore it

So how long do you believe humans have inhabited Earth?

I did not skirt it, I was answering a post about the 2nd commandment to love your neighbor. And yup, we do a pretty lousy job of that as a group, but individually, I can only testify to what I do, have done, or failed to do.

To answer the question about how long humans have been on the earth, as I said before, I am a Creation young earth believer, and if the answer will cause you to mock and call me ignorant of "science" and not believe in science, you are wrong, but I will never convince you. I do believe in science-after all, God set it up, the natural laws, laws of motion and so forth. But as often as scientists change their minds about things as more information comes to light, I do not take them as infallible. That said, I believe that God formed Adam out of the dust of the earth on day 6 of Creation, and He formed Eve from a rib taken from Adam - God put Adam into a deep sleep so He could perform this surgery. Adam had named all the animals, partly because God wanted him to see that there was no animal suitable as a mate for him-and thus, God made Eve. How long they lived in the Garden of Eden, no one knows for sure. Adam is blamed for the disobedience that resulted in the fall because he allowed Eve to be deceived-but he disobeyed knowing better, according to I Timothy. Adam deliberately disobeyed, but Eve was deceived, is how it is stated. The result was the same-expulsion from the garden, and the relationship between God and man destroyed. Thus, God sent His Son to be our Savior, whose end of work we celebrate this week-believe it or not, up to you. I believe that humans have inhabited the earth for about 6000 years give or take a century or so, and yes I believe there were dinosaurs-why they are extinct I have not a clue any more than I know why any other critter is extinct - just to add to your ammunition, I also believe in the Biblical account of the world wide flood, which explains a lot about the shape and condition of the earth today. So laugh if you want, mock if it makes you feel better, but there you are. Those reactions are pretty much what I get most and so it is no surprise to me.

Enough of the pity party. You would not have created this unless they where your strongly held beliefs. I grew up reading the Bible. You have a strong connection to it

I am sorry people trash you for it but such is this site. I too keep plugging away with my opinions and was trashed today

I do not pity myself, though I must admit it gets tiring sometimes. But I do have a lot of compassion for those who do not know any better-not sure how to get through, or if we can-Obviously, I do not like to be trashed, either, but I must be honest about what I believe and why, when asked. I do not mind debating, or having some one tell me they do not agree-but name calling and general snarkiness I have learned it is pointless to answer. People who have no real point simply make fun of others' honest opinions. And so it goes. I do not read everything on here anymore, nor do I come each day as I used to.....
