Just FYI, with the passing of Obamacare, the mandated paperwork became so overwhelming that our doctor chose to close his office and went to work as an emergency room doctor. He wanted to DOCTOR...not spend all his time being a paper pusher.
That is why we are seeing the majority of small office doctors joining with larger clinics that can afford a large staff to shuffle the paperwork. That is also why you see more and more hospitals opening their own clinics, because the paperwork can then be done by the existing hospital staff. One of the rarely mentioned side affects of Obamacare was to almost eliminate the single and double doctor private businesses, and encourage the growth of big clinics and hospitals. Interesting, right? Almost makes one believe in conspiracies.

Almost? I know this occurred with sister's doctor. He not only joined forces with a group of other doctor's, he charges some kind of yearly fee to remain on his patient load outside of insurance. My sister who has worked medical field in different areas such as a lab, an orthithist, medical devices and doctor's office, says she doesn't blame him and if she could afford it, she would have remained on his case load.
