Did you take Civics in school?

I did in the 10th grade in Jacksonville Fl.
I was attending a private school. We studied the Constitution. Learned about precedent.
Even went to the civil court in Jacksonville and sat in on some cases as a field trip.
I remember the details of one of those cases.
How many of you have a memory like that?

It was called government when I took it but it was the same thing..

I had a full year of civics class, in the 7th grade in pubic school, it was required in South Dakota.

I took it in 9th grade!! Too bad they don't teach anymore . ..

I took it in the 8th grade (1970-71) and again in the 11th grade (1973-74). It was called US History.
Let's see how many l*****ts took it.

I'm not sure but I think Jimmy carter was the one that ended it. At least his new dept' of education did .

Aced American History same year I took Civics. My teacher said if he could have given me an A++ he would have.

Maybe someone else can shed light. I don't know. Sometimes things take effect well after they were enacted; and this works for both sides.
