Of course he is referring to the progressive democrat politicians. I really like his down to earth common sense approach to various issues.

Let's focus on this point being made by Sen. Kennedy:

01:15 "if you're convicted of certain crimes, if you have a tendency to violence, if you're you're mentally ill and you want to buy a gun, your name has to run through a database. The problem is the database has huge holes in it! And many federal agencies and state agencies are very cavalier about sending in the names.

Grassley and Cruz's bill, which i support would have tightened up the database, and it would have cracked down on people who have guns, who shouldn't have guns.

You know why the bill didn't pass? Many of my democratic colleagues filibustered it! Now, if you drill down far enough, what you're going to find - I don't want to paint with too broad a brush, but many, not all, many of my democratic colleagues, they just don't believe in the second amendment."

If you are serious about fixing a problem, you cross party lines and v**e for legislation that fixes a problem. But, if you're into social engineering, and want to eliminate firearm ownership which is the goal of the g*******ts, you DON'T WANT TO FIX THE PROBLEM. You want chaos, and mass shooting incidents that the main stream media can use to convince Americans that GUNS are the problem, when deranged or disturbed people are the problem.

Eliminating firearms from law abiding citizens in order to defend themselves simply results in the criminals being the only one's with firearms.

I'm paraphrasing Sen. Kennedy when he said, you don't eliminate autos in order to reduce car related deaths, you try to eliminate drunk and incapacitated drivers to reduce car deaths.

In the wake of 10 people being shot to death in Colorado, Sen Kennedy said we need to do something about drunk drivers. The dotty old fool needs to be taken away and confined somewhere.

You could never believe the man is college educated. I think he should try to get his money back.

Maybe try thinking. Drunk drivers k**l thousands every year. It is nothing short of murder. I guess that since most people like to drink a bit, these deaths are ok, but since a lot of people think guns k**l people, we need to take all guns away from people.

I just don't see a difference but for the hypocrisy of the ones wanting to take guns away.

Exactly. Laws effecting the criminal. Banning guns doesn't do anything to an active shooter, it just effects the innocent law abiding people who would like to carry guns to protect the country, their homes and their families.
