Ten people were k**led, including a veteran police officer, during a mass shooting Monday inside a King Soopers grocery store in the Table Mesa section of South Boulder, Colo., authorities said at a late press conference.

The officer was identified as Eric Talley, 51, who served on the force since 2010. He was the first officer at King Soopers, the crime scene, after the shooting occurred at about 2:30 p.m. His actions were called heroic.

A semi auto rifle that LOOKS like a military rifle is NOT an "assault weapon." Colorado already has the magazine limits your senile s**tweasel in the White House has proposed. The shooter could have obtained the same number of casualties with an old single action revolver, because his victims were unarmed; but you have to make your snarky comment anyway. Did it ever occur to you the only ignorance you have exposed is owned by you?

Four hours of news media sensationizing this shooting!!! They need to report and then come back as things are known!!!
And sensationalizing it just gives other people the same thing to think about for their moment of fame. It appauls me to see them do this and they will do it for days just for encitment purposes. They need to shut up and let these families mourn and be free of their hounding!

The New York Times reported the weapon the police recovered was an AR-15, this is legally defined as an assault weapon in the 1994 violent crime bill. I have not seen a retraction or updated information to the contrary. Also for your sake I hope when you post that you “were there and watched it” that you were not at the store when it happened and simply live in Colorado and watched it on local TV. Such things are a horrific experience for those actually there.

The reports here say~~”possibly”and have yet to confirm it so far~

There was no official confirmation of the exact number of casualties as the chaos continued to unfold.

The suspect was reportedly armed with a rifle, possibly an AR-15.

At least one man was taken into custody, although it was unclear whether this individual was the gunman.
