I thought you were making a second joke about your stance on open carry guns. I was trying to make fun at your expense in referring to you being a liberal. I must have failed miserably if you took what I said to mean I thought you were a liberal. That is why I added the smiley face. Sometimes my thinking does not t***slate well to writing.

I wanted to make sure. Having said that, you now owe me 10 cents for additional anguish! Because I am a gentle soul, I will let you run a tab in case more anguish is forthcoming. :P

Remember, AuntiE, all donations to your therapy fund are sent C.O.D!! ;-)

I am not sensing any sympathy for my anguish. For heavens sake, I saw one of those scary inanimate objects that go out and do horrible things. They really do need to be properly chaperoned...oh, they are by responsible owners.

I have never found a way to keep one on a leash that does not interfere with the trigger or the action. I tried using a pet carrier one day, but then I needed the carrier for my cat. Thought keeping both in the same cage would cause a problem. You know, the cat might decide to go on a rampage and shoot me and anyone around me. Or the gun might be upset about the cat in the cage and go on a rampage itself. Have to come up with a new plan to keep you fraidy cats from climbing trees when you see one.

BTW, I am so cheap on my donations because I need the money for my own therapy. Those liberals upset me so.

You have to be really careful of those cat claws. The visual of a cat with their claw in a trigger demanding cat nip is floating through my brain.

If I climb a tree, will the unfraidy cat come save me?

Without totally coming out of "hiding" try living in the "Free (less) State". My mental health costs could equal the deficit!

Your comment gave me great guffaws of laughter. :)

That depends on whether the eco-terrorists interfere. Climbing the tree to save yourself from the mean old, holstered guns might damage the bark or the branches. Cutting down the tree will definitely harm the tree. That is not even taking into account the damage it might/will do to you. They might try to shoot you down, but the anti-gun liberals would have a conniption fit over that. Lowering a cable from a helicopter would be more damaging to the tree because of downdraft blowing the leaves off the branches. The downdraft would also blow the branches all over the place, breaking off the already damaged ones. Not to mention all the little leaves and buds and twigs and insects and birds displaced because of the rescue and the subsequent psychological trauma to the tree and animals. Add to that the trauma caused to the bystanders witnessing the spectacle. And when the local new station gets involved, you are really screwed. They may go national. The liberal bent would not talk about how you were trapped in the tree, but how much damage you are doing to the public and the ecology.

My suggestion, unless you are really a glutton for punishment and want REALLY, REALLY big treatment bills, as well as fines and such, is to just run away laterally. Moving targets are harder to hit, just zigzag, duck, bob and weave. If you are spry enough, you might even try diving behind something.

 :)

Obviously, again, you have no intention of helping to pay my fines. Ok, I guess I will just have put on my big girl skirt and deal with the anguish. No tree climbing. You realize it would be a double whammy. Ruining the tree because of a scary inanimate object. WOW..here comes DOJ getting my phone records; IRS auditing me; Piers Morgan after me and all the other MSM Groups.

You continue to provide me with REALLY REALLY wonderful laughs. Continue forth

Laughter is JUST such a terrible thing. You ask me for more and more, but you do know that laughter causes stress, anxiety and other evil ailments. At least that is what I figure the liberals believe. I can make a joke at my expense and be the better for it. The liberals on the other hand are a joke at the taxpayers expense and do not seem to get it at all.

I am just worried that if I make you laugh to hard, you might break a rib or worse, and then look at my tab with you, bigger than the national debt!!!

My progeny just came into the living room and asked which one of my posting friends was creating my uproarious laughter.

My bill for the rib would only be 10 cents. I am a thrifty type.

But duct tape is so much more expensive than 10 cents. Are you sure? Or are you planning on using scotch tape?

As we just finished with a broken rib for my spouse, they did not even tell him to wrap it. Should I brake a rib and feel the need to wrap it, I have a very long ace bandage. See, thrifty.

usmc4, no intention of implying otherwise. I am not sure where you would get the badge you described in your OP. Hint, hint. :-)

Ebay has CCW badges. I'd recommend a gun store though. That way you can see exactly what you want. I prefer one placed in a holder with a clip to place on a belt or trousers.

My next question would be: Are they legal in most states? I guess I will find out
