My cat, a lovely young boy of almost 3 developed crystals and had to have surgery. He is not doing as well as he should. If you too have an animal that you love, and believe that prayer is not just for humans, will you remember him tonight in your prayers. Thank you.

Hang in there, the cat might make it because of age. I like all domesticated animals, they give unlike any human. We've had two with cystitis, both had surgery so it's 50/50. We now have one dying of cancer, she's too old for surgery.

I am so sorry to hear about your friend. It is always sad when they are hurt, they can not tell anyone that they do not feel well. I hope and I will pray that your kitty passes without pain. Again, I am so sorry!

My vet, who is also a cousin, says that Boot has a real good chance because he is so young and his problem was caught before any damage was done to his kidney, bladder, or liver. But, still I am worried. I guess he, like us, is in the hands of God.

Thank you for the encouragement.

We had a baby boy, older then yours, who had the surgery, did not appear to be doing well and bounded back to excellent health. It is somewhat like having a sick child. They are so ill and then they rebound.

Prayers for the baby.

This is so encouraging AuntiE. It is Boot, he could not urinate on Friday so I rushed him to the ER. The flushed him and said he was fine. Saturday he again was in pain and could not go, so back to the office where they kept him. They sedated him again, put in a caterer and an IV, yesterday they made him a girl because even with the caterer he was still plugging up. He is home, on pain meds, and looks so pitiful and I feel so helpless to do anything to make him feel better. He is eating and drinking, but not voiding. Abe says it is normal, but still I am worried. Your words however is a big comfort, thank you. Tomorrow will tell.

Ask you cousin about bottled water vs tap. Have been told that our water is hard on animals, I know it is on a car radiator.

The one with cancer has had it about a year we know of, she's slow and doesn't jump on counter tops but other than that, well I don't know, she doesn't talk much. I know at some point I'll have to put her down.

Thanks!

He may be dehydrated and needing food enough for recovery that he is retaining all he takes in to aid his rebound to good health. They at pitiful when on meds. His GE is to his advantage. You know he is going to have to stay away from seafood cat food, right? Ours could not have seafood. It adversely effects some male felines, even when they become a girl.

I will be happy to. I have a cat, Frank, who went outside, got into a horrible fight, the vet said he had contracted feline leukemia and should be put down. I decided I just couldn't do right then, he has weight loss, dehydration and was in awful shape. I asked my heavenly Father if it was His will would He have mercy on both of is, it's been about a month, and Frank is putting on weight and getting better every day. I thank God for all my blessings, and hope your boy pulls through to

Bottled water and only from a fountain that filters and recycles...one spoiled cat. He has been on Blue Mountain and loved dry food. I read that dry food is one of the suspected causes of his problem. So, needless to say he is now on a prescription diet, wet food only.

There are states that has hospice for animals, they keep them comfortable and have 24/7 attendance. It is not expensive and allows pet parents the time to say good by or see you later. When the time comes, I know it will be hard but I think that animals are pure of heart and will not be excluded from heaven. Perhaps I am just daft, but it feels better to think that I will see my pets that have proceeded me in death. I hope that your kitty stays with you for quite some time. Hang in there my friend.

Thank you! That makes sense to me. He is eating and drinking as long as I hold his plate or bowl. His cone prevents him from eating or drinking without assistance. The meds are making him a little nuts, he lays on his bed and just watches everything. I do wonder what he is looking at, he shows no interest other than just quietly watching.

How wonderful! The love of our Father, so staggering when we see it in action! I will remember Frank in my prayers! I am so happy for you. And thank you for the kind remarks and assurances. They come at a very important time, I was feeling so useless and unable to do anything other than worry. You and I know that our pet children pick up on our emotions, so when we loose hope it is contagious. I do have faith and hope, now I have your and others' reassurance....I feel much better. I hope that my change in attitude will help Boot in his recovery.

With the cone, he may not be taking in as much as usual.

Kitty is stoned, literally. He is at least watching activity.
