I can't see how that could come across as condescending. As in the above cases, without hitting 'show quote', one may very well miss the entirety of a reply contained within the original post to which it is in response. That has happened numerous times in my eight years of experience on OPP.The parts of my reply contained within the original post are preceded by (>>>>>) to bring attention to them.
