Please tell me this is a joke and not the direction of the Republican Party. Where is Moses when you need him?

Well it would appear that the GOP is very aware that they are beholding to the cult. Fear of Donny’s influence supersedes common sense. All hail, all worship the child king. Can you imagine the uproar had Democrats created a golden statue of Obama?

They did that before ovomit was even elected the first time

At the time the biblical golden calf sprang from the embers and demanded the Israelite's worship, Moses had ascended to a Cancunlike location for a brief respite from the desert heat and to pick up some heavy documents from headquarters....

No. They did not. And if they had, it wouldn't have been wearing American f**g themed boxer shorts and flip flops.... Not after the tan suit debacle!

Should the idol be melted down and pulverized and mixed with water, and the fallen CPAC sinners forced to drink it ?

Meh! We remember the weird from when the Pope visited, had a sip of water, then set the glass back down...

But perhaps it is a "CHOOSE THIS DAY WHO YE SHALL SERVE!" moment.

Also, too much peril if the priest were to mix up the words with the "Sotah" challenge* and all unfaithful spouses were to have the God's blessing abort any of their bastard fetuses and the woman become barren. . .

*Sotah (סוטה‎ "Wayward wife") deals with the ritual of the sotah, the woman suspected of adultery (Num 5)

I do..... plenty if weird around perceived holy water.

While an alter boy yes, its true...... part of my duties and sunday masses was to greet our parishioners. ... 2 big double doors to eneter this late 1800s Catholic Church.... mid evil kinda crap right there, 18" thick wood...oh yea....back on topic, next to these doors on b I th sidesmof both were ornamental holy water stations the ( mostly elderly ) parishioners would dip and holy cross on the way in................. there were many unique and odd traditional stuff happening.... some would fill a vile and wear it on a chain..... kneeling and praying in latin.

Odd customs go with every religion, gathering folks to drink water from a glass because the pope touched it aint even in my top 100... but its on the list

Yup. I went through a Catholic phase (baptized and confirmed... AND my priest wouldnt excom me because I'm an agnostic atheist . . And attendance is getting to critically low levels I guess?) before I was an agnostic Wiccan.

True even if we substitute a generic, "humankind," for "men."

I mostly helplessly celebrate weird as the most viable alternative! 🍾
