The school wants him to be "re-educated"



A New York university has suspended an education student from mandatory teaching programs for posting Instagram videos expressing conservative ideology.

State University of New York (SUNY) Geneseo sent an email to education student Owen Stevens placing him on suspension from his field teaching programs after his peers uncovered videos of him preaching conservative dogma. The school claims that Stevens’ videos “call into question” his ability to “maintain a classroom environment protecting the mental and emotional well-being of all of [his] students.”

According to a copy of Steven’s suspension obtained by The Daily Wire, the education student will remain suspended from participating in in-school field experiences and courses that have field experiences until he completes a “remediation plan.” The remediation plan includes taking down his Instagram videos, toning down his social media presence, and attending school-sanctioned training.

Stevens told The Daily Wire he refuses to take part in “re-education” training.

“After review of all available materials, I find that, based on your continued public stance and social media presence, you do not consistently demonstrate behaviors required by the Conceptual Framework of the School of Education,” the Dean of the School of Education wrote in an email to Stevens.

The university claims that Stevens violated the school’s inclusivity doctrine, called the Dignity for All Students Act, which requires teachers to foster “a diverse campus community marked by mutual respect for the unique talents and contributions of each individual.”

The Dean also insinuated that future teachers are required to support all aspects of homosexuality and g****r identity. During one of his Instagram videos, Stevens said, “A man is a man, a woman is a woman. A man is not a woman and a woman is not a man.” The Dean told Stevens that his scientific stance on biology is “in conflict” with the school’s Dignity for All Students Act.

“You continue to maintain, ‘I do not recognize the g****r that they claim to be if they are not biologically that g****r,’” the Dean said. “This public position is in conflict with the Dignity for All Students Act requiring teachers to maintain a classroom environment protecting the mental and emotional well-being of all students.”

Reminds me of an opportunity my son had in his University, where one teacher was giving a completely biased opinion to wh**ever it was in discussion. I know it was regarding g****r, neutrality, and equal opportunities and rights with a obvious left-leaning promotion...

The Teacher panned the room asking certain students what their position was or how they felt about it and when he called on my son, he said everyone is entitled to their opportunities and rights. But you need to consider there is more than just one side of the story here and you should be teaching from a unbiased opinion rather than trying to suggest we adhere to your opinion. Needless to say the teacher didn’t really care for what he said and made some comment about it .. My son said by all means continue to teach your class just do it with an objective unbiased position and allow your students to formulate their own opinions... The teacher asked him to stay after class for a moment and made clear he didn’t like being challenged buy a student who was there to learn and not question. Well when I tell you my son was laughing when he was explaining this to me he became very serious and said; so he left me no opportunity when I replied with to the contrary I am here to learn and question wh**ever it is I’m being taught. The whole concept of education is to Question everything and formulating my own intellectual position not to be governed by some bias teacher...Nothing further came from it other than the fact the teacher didn’t call on him anymore for his opinion....

Left leaning ideology is exactly what is being taught which makes a parents need to be more involved..Given in homeschooling that had to take place because of the v***s I know there are a number of parents who have challenged different topics replying to teachers in emails they will not be teaching that and they take exception to it as well as offense.. presently I am aware of three different parents who are going to continue homeschooling rather than putting them back in to the main stream theme of the l*****t ideology. More need to do exactly that along with our government disposing of the Department of Education! States need to be overseeing the curriculums for the schools involved knowing the areas and what children experience within their geographical locations not the government.

Hypocrisy rears it's ugly head again. Harding University in AR, will not hire anyone who isn't a repub or assembly of God. They teach their students that no one can be a democrat or liberal and be a Christian at the same time. We don't hear any protest about that - but - what would happen if a university somewhere did the opposite?

You know what would happen...........................all the repub snowflakes would come unglued.

Perhaps as you got older (and hopefully wiser) you might have learned that many things taught to you as a child are not true/right. The Easter bunny and Santa Claus comes to mind.

I believe you'll find that Harding University is a private school. State University of New York is not. Public education has been infiltrated by l*****ts. Why? It didn't happen overnight. It has been heading that direction since I was in college. It has now gotten to the point that college professors are mostly liberal, having been taught by other liberal profs who have been subjects to the same indoctrination. Let's face it, our schools have been turned toward the left and people don't even care. There are stories on conservative leaning TV networks about this but, unfortunately you won't see it reported in the MSM.

Like my cousin who who tells me they are non binary. And I understand what they mean. I'm cool with it. Don't think they need to be discriminated against or re educated.

Someone who would look them in the eye and claim that wearing makeup impairs their ability to operate a forklift effectively possibly does need a reality check.

Perhaps the eyeliner and earrings do impair their ability to impress female mating prospects with their masculine charms while at work. But they don't find that to be a drawback to forklift operation, either. In fact it obfuscates the need for many awkward conversations.

If you look at conservative Christian institutions private websites, for instance, a Christian University like Freed-Hardeman in Tennessee or the Answers in Genesis Ark Park in Kentucky, and check out employment opportunities, and can get as far as an application.... that is where you may learn that there are some similarly interesting restrictions . . .

My wife drives a forklift daily wearing all of that stuff. She looks pretty hot doing it....because SHE doesn't have to worry about wedging a nut when SHE hops up on that seat.

And, should your cousins be descrimated against? As long as they're doing their job, and not bothering fellow employees, no.

However, in my opinion, they should be ostracized for being the freaks that they are.
