Actually, today's reports show that cases and hospital stays are dropping naturally.
Could it be that C***d is running it's course naturally.
Even if you take the vacine, mandates remain in effect. Masking, distancing, ect..
I just don't know any more.
After Thanksgiving when we were experiencing a huge spike that lasted through December, there was a noticeable degree of people's awareness that it was getting bad. We live in a red county that will not enforce mask mandates like Sacramento was. This resulted in a 50/50 mask compliance in stores, then going into January I was in Walmart getting a fishing license and I saw only about two or three people not wearing masks, the best ratio I have ever seen in this county. I asked a guy about it going to the truck, and told him I thought it was because there are so many people getting it that every single person is now seeing what seems like everyone around them getting it. He said you've got that right, everyone around us has people getting sick. That stepped up awareness and compliance contributed toward lowered numbers of new cases a few weeks down the road.
The new variants coming on strong are set to be the dominant strains that people are getting a couple of months from now. The one from the UK is the front runner, and we can look at the UK to see how it works, it caused a new spike for them that caused them to go lockdown again.
My daughter's family in the UK got it, the kid's mother who shares custody works a second job in a fast food restaurant, she got it and neglected to tell them. They kept the kids away, my son in law got sick and was down and out for three weeks, they kept saying no he didn't have c***d, the frigging i***t insisted on taking an 80 year old woman next door to get her C***d shot even though he was feeling like crap. The 13 year old daughter got it, but she tested negative, the two and a half year old was coughing and not feeling well, but still, no they do not have C***d was their position. My daughter got sick and could barely get up the stairs, she was coughing so bad she had a tough time breathing, she tested positive, They tested the 13 year old again and she was positive. My daughter can't shake the cough, it just won't go away, she's been told she has a longer lasting case that can last for several months.
The only one who did not get it was the 15 year old boy, he has problems with his lungs and allergies. He's a bit of a computer nerd, he refused to do things with the family he thought was stupid, like restaurants, he hung out in his room upstairs and didn't spend as much time with the family, he was religious about wearing a mask.
The variants work quicker, are stronger and spread easier, and it looks like are harder on a person's system. They have a friend who just lost a 30 year old cousin that was a healthy and athletic runner, it's got their circle of friends and family a bit freaked out.
I do not wish this on anybody, and do not consider those who do not agree with me to be enemies or anything but fellow americans.
