God is good, and the name of Jesus reigns above all. I'm going to tell you about a testimonial a young woman gave in a Bible class I attended (she's in her late 30's early 40's). It's a testament to the power of His name.

She was young and foolish so she hooked up with the Hell's Angels. She didn't tell us how this came about, but one of the leaders was going to beat her to a pulp. He knocked her down, and she began to plead the name of Jesus, asking Him to save her. This fellow had taken a hold of her and was going to slam his fist in her face, He heard the Lord's name, and dropped her.

She left the group, and has since done everything she can to straighten out her life. She's from here, now has a teenage daughter. Rather than have someone else tell her daughter about her former life, she has told her, but she is concerned that parents will not allow their daughters to be friends. It's hard to rise above gossip. Please pray for her. I'm sorry, I don't know her name, but God does.

As Art Linkletter used to say "People are funny." One day they are running you through a meat grinder, the next day, somehow you become old or forgotten news and they have chosen a new victim.

The old adage, "Sticks and stones may break my bones but names can never harm me."

Every choice we make has a consequence. Bad consequences don't have to stay bad. As Joesph told his brothers in Genesis, "You meant it for evil, God meant it for good."

If God is Omnipotent, (all powerful) this means He is in charge of good and evil. Remember the devil had to get permission from God to do a number on Job.

Many folks have done far worse things than belong to the Hells Angels. I know I have; She needs to know that she knows that she knows that if she has confessed her sins and repented of her sins; God has promised to remember her sins no more.

She needs to live in 1 John 1:9; Romans 8:1-2. She will overcome by trusting The Lord. I will add her fears to my prayer list. To God be the glory.

I've also done things and my testimony of where I was,and where I'm at now...would make most good church peoples toes curl lol. I don't like to share because now i concentrate on the love Jesus showes me daily. I will add her also to my prayers. God,has this girl in his arms. And those bikers,well they become pussycats when confronted with the holy spirit. I am friends with many believing bikers. So,she will be just fine. Praise God.

At this point - she knows, she just hopes her past indiscretions will not be held against her daughter. Time everyone realize they have received forgiveness, drop the past, don't punish the innocent!

In a perfect world she would have no worries. I would think the best action would be as you say, "drop the past." It has been said that the Christian Army is the only Army that shoots its wounded.

No one in the young girls life has to know anything about her mothers past. I agree totally, some things are better left unsaid. Jesus died for our sin. We can tell Him everything, and He never tells a soul. Men/women no matter how faithful or caring really do not know how to handle sin. Only a Holy God can remove them as far as the East is from the West.

We spend all of our time repenting of what we have done when we should be repenting of what we are. God will bless the faithfulness of this forgiven woman and He will protect her daughter.

I started my Devotional out with "God is good, and the name of Jesus reigns above all." It sometimes takes a while, but the light came on - next time I see her, I'll tell her to have her daughter remember that phrase and use it when appropriate to remind others.
