Absolutely insane article about nothing. Green infrastructure failed, due to unforeseen circumstances. Solar panels don't work well when covered by snow. Apparently, Texas windmills don't work like Michigan windmills. We don't have any around here, but I assume that the things are working. Years ago, I suggested that small nuclear power plants be placed in vaults and electricity lines and equipment be all below grade. Maybe someday, the powers that be will "get it". Until then, we are screwed and tattooed. The marxist democrats just don't get it. Tired of the human excrement on the sidewalk? Ban plastic straws!

These people haven't even a basic scientific understanding. The term energy density means nothing to them.

I had a friend who was trained to maintain wind turbines...a government program.

After school they sent him to Ohio or some such for two weeks and he never went out again. Total s**m.

Anyone who takes the 60 out from Cabazon can see the miles of defunct windmills.

The solar plant by Mohave is a mess of broken mirrors. The one near Las Vegas will instantly toast any poor feathered creature. You can feel the heat in jets flying from Vegas! Liquid iodine salt solar stations are hazards.

I prefer propane for my heating needs in times like these, i use small wind turbines to evenly distribute the heat evenly throughout my troll cave..... of course i call these fans, ..... such a pretty blue flame also.

Solar works..... i use one of those garden path solar lights to check the level of f****l f**l derivative burning in my power generation equipment.

The green new deal has nothing to do with the environment. ..... the green they are talking about usually resides in your wallet, and thats the deal

We have a wood stove and this is pinyon pine country. Lots of BTUs. Got a generator for the fridge, just in case, but in the winter keeping stuff cold isn't as much of a problem.

We have propane too but we don't use that much.

I think Texas needs a couple shots in the ass to finally winterize their power grid so the feds don’t have to come running with generators next time this happens. One would think Texas would learn something from 3 power grid collapses from the cold because it WILL happen again.

No problem in West Texas. We have our own grid. I’ve kept my heat from natural gas at around 75° in hopes of freezing a down state Democrat. I could explain how this happened but you are too stupid to understand.

Nice, love a good wood stove.... don't use my fireplace hardly, drains the rest of the house of its heat.... but 90 in the main room pinion smells good, didn't know it burned that hot....this is mesquite country here burns a few hundred degrees hotter than oak..... but free for the taking everywhere, makes some damn fine BBQ too.

Hell man, the gen has to run more than a fridge a man has to have....his fridge and freezers, multiple TVs and satellite, air fryer, blender, toaster oven, coffee maker, internet and surveillance. .... With the ability to run them at the same time.... either that or try and learn to shut stuff off, i prefer the ability route on this one and on day 2 the ability to toss the 120v to 240v and and hit your water heater for that needed shower...... We are in a crisis for God's sake, must we suffer at the same time? Lol

First i recall, been here since 82?? I think this was the shot you speak of....... I felt bad for the masses of people who were flat out not prepared for weather issues of any kind.... in the dark, in the cold....no food, water, batteris, candles and the worst thing ever... no way to charge their stupid phones, I laugh about the phone thing, helpless bastards.... starving to death since restaurants were closed for a couple days. A wake up call for many , and im sure upper management will be addressed on the issue, post haste

Nobody needs the feds running anywhere with any generators, they will just waste my money in the process.

We haven't counted the dead wet backs yet, they like to d**g the charcaol grill inside for heat, we lose many each year........ and its never like this. ............ i speculate we will find many frozen bean burritos after the thaw.

The other day, I was walking the dog and it was -18°F, but it was a beautiful, sunny morning. As I waded through a couple feet of snow with the dog, I thanked the Good Lord for bringing me into existence in Pure Michigan. Thanks again, Lord.

We have a wind farm in eastern NV they keep in good shape. 2 or 3 hundred acres maybe. The turbines turn very slowly. Only a dumb bird could get hit by one. The solar mirror stations are k**lers. Instant k**lers of everything.

My little area is geothermally powered from right here in the valley.
