Rots of ruck with that one. You cannot ban lawfully purchased firearms, nor can you penalize the owners for buying them when it was legal to do so. That is ex post facto law. The worst he could do is a redux of the Clintoon gun ban, which did absolutely nothing whatsoever to lower the murder rate. Exactly how banning firearms that are responsible for something like 2% of the murders in this country is going to do much good is an interesting question; particularly in light of the Heller decision, which addresses commonly owned firearms. I'd say an estimated 20 million AR and AK type rifles would qualify as common.
Since the expiration of the Clintoon ban, the population of the US has increased by some 40 million, even undercounting wetbacks. There are about `100 million more firearms in private ownership, (the majority of them semi-auto), and there have been some 20 million carry permits issued, not to mention there are now 15 states where a permit is not even required anymore. The results? Our murder rate has dropped by around 40%. What does the Senile S**tbag hope to accomplish in light of these facts? A "national registration" that flies in the face of US law? "Universal background checks?" Only a handful of murders are committed by the legal owners of guns. In the past five years there have been about a half million stops on purchases from FFL dealers. Less than 700 were prosecuted, with about 150 convictions. That's because the BATFE and DOJ would much rather prosecute someone who made a mistake on a Federal form than go after a criminal who purchases a gun on the black market.
Ever hear of Haynes v US 1968? The SCOTUS, (with a Liberal majority at the time, go figure) ruled that criminals were not required to "register" their firearms, and could not be prosecuted for this failure since it violated their 5th Amendment rights. The only thing this "registry" would do is create a registry of law abiding people who are not going to commit crimes. Concerning "registration;" there is a record of who buys the gun from the manufacturer, who purchases the gun from the wholesaler, and who purchases the gun from the retailer. We already have registration. Liberals are too stupid to realize it.
The FACTS are that most murders are committed by b****s, in a handful of metro areas. According to the FBI Uniform Crime Report, black males between the ages of 15 and 35 commit more than half the murders, yet they are only 5% of the population. B****s in general are only 13% of the population yet they are more than half the murder victims, and nearly 95% of the time they are murdered by other b****s.
Black people who do not live in large, Democrap run and drug infested cities and metro areas appear no more likely, statistically than anyone else to commit crimes. The Biden Crime Family would punish everyone but the guilty.
More people die every year from knife wounds than from the imaginary "semi-auto assault rifles." More people die from blunt instrument trauma, and even from bare hands.
The Senile Sock Puppet, manipulated by someone who doesn't have dementia, was a political whore when was in possession of all his marbles. He will do anything if you pay him enough.

Random, President Trump never embraced war, debt, or a police state. Those are things that the Democrats strive for. President Trump was bringing the troops home from the middle east. He got us out of the Paris accord which was costing us a lot of money. He imposed tariffs on Chinese goods and was bringing manufacturing back home. He cut funding for the UN and was making NATO members pay their fair share saving taxpayers billions of dollars. He respected the police and the Military but never wanted a police state.
