Biden EPA nominee vows 'sense of urgency' on c*****e c****e

Michael Regan told a Senate committee that under Biden the EPA “will stand up for environmental justice and equity'' and will collaborate with business and community groups, state and local governments and others "who know their own communities better than the federal government ever could.

Under questioning from Republican senators, Regan vowed to “follow the law, not exceed my statutory authority” to complete major new regulations on power plants, automobile tailpipes, mercury emissions and waterways — all of which will likely face strong GOP opposition.

“We will work t***sparently with responsible industries eager to establish clear, consistent rules of the road,'' Regan said, and "work in partnership with Congress, leveraging your expertise ... as we strive to build healthier communities.''

Regan, who has served as top environmental regulator in North Carolina since 2017, would be the first African American man to run the EPA. He made a name for himself in his home state by pursuing cleanups of industrial toxins and helping low-income and minority communities significantly affected by pollution.

Sounds good, we're way past these needed changes.

Sounds great if Regan's plan could exist in a bubble. Problems arise when other plans conflict with his vision, one that comes to mind is biden's immigration plans.

Consider the eco footprint per human, young to elderly. If a given population’s ecological footprint exceeds its biocapacity, that population has an ecological deficit. This means that the population’s demand for natural resources exceeds its supply, which can lead to depletion and high emissions of carbon dioxide into the air. If a given population’s biocapacity exceeds its ecological footprint, it has an ecological reserve.

Right now, without increasing immigration, The U.S. has an ecological deficit of minus 1,416.05. Its ecological footprint per capita is 8.04 hectares and its biocapacity per capita is 3.45 hectares. The average US ecological footprint is about 50% larger than the average person in most European countries. The U.S. has more suburban sprawl, less public t***sportation, and uses more energy and water per person than other comparable, developed countries. Additionally, California has the same ecological footprint as France of minus 131.

Right now, the U.S. has a population density of 92 people per square mile. Imagine when we reach 120 people per square mile, what will the deficit be? Regan will never realize his dreams of a zero to zero pollution if biden opens our borders.

Interesting how you led this topic into a segway of immigration, but I get your point and the real problem there is not so much with the US but the rest of the world and over population, which has less to do with immigration and more with social customs. It would be great if they got on board with monogamy.

If were to talk about immigration then I would advise helping countries to the point where their own citizens didn't wan to flee from their homeland. The good news is that not has many immigrants are coming to the US as before, now they are going to other European countries. But in the meantime we still need to get back to some of the regulations that are helping the environment and not be deterred by big oil companies.

I haven't read where Regan is trying to obtain zero to zero ratio. Maybe you can show me the reference to that.

And what do you advise be done to ‘help’ them? Bearing in mind our own national debt and many suffering Americans.

Ok Let's talk about Muslims who've been fleeing now for decades, I think it would've been wise and maybe we still can set up a territory, where people can come, be protected from being forcefully enrolled in their radical military, help begin a new government for the people. The people want it, we can help them get there.

And the cost? Bearing in mind our own national debt and many suffering Americans.

Additionally why do you think it is America’s responsibility?

Our National debt? Where were you worrying about that for the past four years, with the massive increase and Nothing to show for it? You can't complain about Muslim immigrants and a solution at the same time. Which costs us more an unending war and immigrants poring into our country or helping them establish a westernized civilized state that stop the hemorrhaging of them recruiting more young boys and murdering their people, woman and children mind you?

When Britain took up residency in Africa do you think they have regretted it?

Right here - saying that we need to focus on it.

"You can't complain about Muslim immigrants and a solution at the same time."

I can when it is the wrong 'solution'.

And I have consistently said we need to get our troops out - we are not the world's policeman.

So again: Why do you think it is America's responsibility?

You have nothing but complaints, don't criticize mine when you got nothing as usual.

It's not entirely our responsibility, it is a collateral one and I would say to join with our allies to help these poor suppressed people. Our efforts is a win~win, they stop coming here and stay home with their own traditions and we don't have the massive inflow of immigrants from suppressed countries.

Not sure what you mean here - but I have much more than complaints. There are several solutions to the problem of our national debt. I cannot recall if I have posted any here but I would be glad to do so if you wish to see them.

I would agree with joining with our allies - when we are in a position to do so. Right now - we are not. Ballooning debt and our people are suffering. Aggressively stop the massive inflow at the border - wherever that border is.

Biden has no intentions of working with South and Central America, he just backed out of an agreement with them and he extended the ban on some muslim nations.

Maybe he has good reasons.

I couldn't say unless I knew what deals were on the table.
