And the people have written federal laws, via their congress that trump state laws.

You are compairing apples and oranges.

Well old roy, I was trying to ignore you, but you seem to want to play.

The 10th amendment reserves the rights of the states for everything not spelled out in the constitution.

That has nothing to do with the way the federal system trumps the state in their laws. Once the Feds, decide to do something, they take precedence.

And where you guys got the idea that Obama was collecting guns, God knows. You watch to much Fox so called News.

Indirectly, the President is attempting registration through approval of the UN Small Arms Treaty. Historic fact has repetitively shown confiscation ALWAYS follows registration.

Actually, no law can "trump" provisions of that pesky little document called ...ready.. United States Constitution.

grazeem is trying to say that federal law can overcome any state law when they don't agree. Of course, none of them realize that many things Congress has done is not done through a power the Constitution gives them. They just don't know a lot about the first article of the Constitution.

But the courts have not struck them down.

It is unfortunate you could not have been with me yesterday as well as some of the others here.

We attended a 2nd Amendment Rally barbecue. After (you are going to love this part) starting with a prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance and the Star Spangled Banner, two Constitution Professors and practicing attorneys discussed nullification. We then had a presentation from a county commissioner, not our own, laying out in exact detail how his county is setting up their county nullification legislation for the gun control law about to be signed by our Governor. It was MOST informative.

It was was also great to be with a group of like minded individuals. If my neighbors even thought there was a gun on the block, every medic in the cou Ty would have to show up to defibrillate them!

You might want to recheck that statement.

grazeem only knows about those that have been hit back at and thinks there are no others. Yep, they think that the Supreme Court just attacks certain laws and don't understand that someone has to begin the court procedure before the Court can do anything.

It appears that grazeem must have read just what the 10th Amendment says and skeedaddled liberal style. Why don't you hop back in talking about the 10th amendment now that I told you the very words in it?

I guess after 48 hours grazeem has proved that he/she doesn't really know what the 10th Amendment says and surely doesn't have any idea that the Supreme Court doesn't just jump in on any law they think might be unconstitutional. So many of his examples, or lack of them, seem to have been presented without knowledge that the Court has to wait till some citizen with standing asks them to interpret the law.

I would h**e to have so little knowledge about our system and be making those noises.
