A federal judge recently made clear that those behind bars do qualify for the $1,200 checks, approved by Congress earlier this year as part of the largest economic aid package in U.S. history. U.S. District Judge Phyllis Hamilton ruled the decision to exclude them was arbitrary and capricious.

Maybe incarcerating them was also arbitrary and capricious. I guess they'll have to be granted a furlough so they can spend their stimulus money, you know, to actually stimulate the economy.

In some states, a felon on parole or probation can v**e.

How does one know if a person is an i*****l a***n? Hence the need for comprehensive reform, including up to date registration and valid photo ID.

When Bill Clinton appointed all of the judges to the lower courts that were on his list, he was appointing judges that had been taught that the Constitution is a "living document." This lie is a "door" in the psyche of any lawyer or judge opened to arbitrating the rule of law to his/her political bias. An example of this kind of judge appointed by a "Skull and Bones" elitist, George Bush, is John Roberts, who currently heads the nation's Supreme Court. He did not allow even a hearing of the overwhelming evidence of fraud in this last e******n because, like all elitists, he knows he will be found out.

Must be one of those liberal judges who believes to “continue to punish a felon behind bars is “ condoning disfranchisement.” Of course if the felon hadn’t committed a crime egregious enough to put them behind bars to begin, it wouldn’t be at issue...If they loose their rights then so be it.. Let them complete their sentences and get Clemency later..

Perfect Left logic. With more people staying home and business' shuttered there were fewer chances to commit crimes and the risk was substantially greater.

A decision has no intelligence. This post should be "Another democrat Appointed Stupid Judge Makes a Stupid Judgement." Criminals/inmates cost us non-criminals a lot of money to house & feed them etc. etc. Their victims should get an extra stimulus check, not them.

You are incorrect at least with felons. And I am not a Liberal who posts controversial matters and then runs and hides. Here is proof of what I am saying.

https://b****tpedia.org/V****g_rights_for_convicted_felons

" In two states—Maine and Vermont—felons retained the right to v**e during incarceration. "
