Democrat Rep. Shelia Jackson Lee (TX) introduced a gun control bill near the start of the current Congress that, if passed, could make California’s strict gun control laws seem tame by comparison.

H.R.127 states that its purpose is to “provide for the licensing of firearm and ammunition possession and the registration of firearms, and to prohibit the possession of certain ammunition.”

The bill calls for the U.S. Attorney General to establish a licensing and registration system through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), which would increase the federal government’s ability to monitor gun owners’ purchases and the location of their firearms by requiring them to inform the government of the “make, model, and serial number” of the firearms that they own and adds that the firearm owner must tell the government “where the firearm is or will be stored.” In order to obtain a license, individuals must also complete “at least 24 hours of training.” Individuals can be stripped of their license and must get their licenses renewed.

The bill states that the information collected in the registration will be provided to all Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies and will also be provided to all branches of the United States Military.

In order to obtain a license to possess a firearm, an individual would need to be at least 21 years old and, in addition to undergoing a background check, would require that the individual undergo “a psychological evaluation” which could potentially involve “other members of the household in which the individual resides.” Under the bill, a person could have their constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms stripped from them if they’ve been hospitalized with a wide range of psychiatric disorders, including depression.

According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, approximately 17 million Americans suffered from a major depressive episode in 2017. That number is likely far higher at the current moment given the fact that the c****av***s p******c has isolated many individuals and led to an increase in unemployment, factors that are generally associated with an increase in depression and suicide rates.

The bill also bans ammunition that is .50 caliber or larger and bans people from being able to possess magazines that are able to hold greater than 10 rounds of ammunition. The bill also forces people to pay an $800 fee to the government that insures them “against liability for losses and damages resulting from the use of any firearm by the person during the 1-year period that begins with the date the policy is issued.”

Lee has been criticized in the past for demonstrating a lack of understanding of firearms, saying in September 2019: “I’ve held an AR-15 in my hand, I wish I hadn’t. It is as heavy as 10 boxes that you might be moving. And the bullet that is utilized, a .50 caliber, these kinds of bullets need to be licensed and do not need to be on the street.”

Wrong !
The First Step is the Wreckless Endangerment so often on display publicly.
We are a peace loving nation. Once we exclude the profiteer gun makers, and war proponents.
I would’ve added into the bill that anyone showing up in Public with a Long gun may be shot as a terrorist with no consequences.
There is no reason to have any of the guns in the bill on our streets.
If you want to live like that, then, move to Somalia.
If you think you need a .50 cal mounted on your Jeep you may need to move to Somalia.

Right....Due to the wreckless environment created by some political party, they are on display for your consumption. ...choose wisely.
We are not, and have never been a peace loving nation.... your security blanket, and this country were, and are secured by force....Switzerland is that way.

Shooting anyone with a legal right to carry a long gun in public should be shot without consequences? ? Careful what you wish for, my long guns double as cameras....hold still for the flash.... and i might add, your statement here has to be damn near the dumbest thing ive heard.
Neither are hatchets, molotov cocktails and artillary shells.... ill carry my guns until that ceases, not before.

Somalia....... sounds like your kind of place, but you can acheive that same utopia in Minnesota and Lubbock.

Agreed, no one should have one of those mounted on a jeep..... that limits your abilities on lighting up the problem, a tall building is a much better tactical advantage. .....thanks for pointing that out.... but we already know.

Milosia, Unicorns & intelligent liberal/l*****t/socialist are mythical species. They do not exist. Get Woody to teach you which end of a gun can hurt you. You might be surprised that your first answer is wrong.

Ok.... i had a serious talk with my long guns, it was a fruitful conversation and i learned alot. The older long guns don't mind staying home more often, they have erned the rest. .. so long as i stay the course and let them know whats up, ya know keep the holiday routines with them, take em out with the grandguns now and then.... they're cool with it. As for the rest of those testy and angry long guns.... they aint having it, i tried my best to no avail.. they're young and do not yet understand, they may come around in due time.... But I feel if they are attacked right now they will defend themselves, it is what they do... and do it well.

The 3 I have my most concern with are a little on the crazy side, the two sisters who identify as a telephone and answer to the same name were not in a good mood to be blunt, as they stated.... their g****r identity created the phone identity of being known as Ma Bell.... now all they want to do is reach out and touch somebody, they feel obligated. .. i get it, i really do.... but worry not, they need me to make that call, I have to dial in someone's number so they can make the call.... good thing im not crazy like them.

Now.... the biggest pain of those 3 was grammabell, shes mad about being a gramma at .50 yrs old, shes gotten lazy since her 2 grandaughters... Me Bell, and Ma Bell started taking over the closer of the long distance calls, out of county stuff....... angry Grammabell will have a s**t fit if i wake her up for a 500 yard call..... ain't worth her time unless you damn near double her grandaughters long distance dials.... and man!!! she charges out the ass for her services. ... $ 4.42 for a direct connection, I think she is just trying to cover the cost of her glasses, like a damn telescope looking at ya.. make you feel weird if she's staring at you.

I will continue my daily conversations and slip your stay at home orders in every chance i get... but for now, they just thik its stupid.

Thanks,

Sheila Jackass Lee needs to check that mop on top of her head for lice, bedbugs and chiggers before she addresses gun control. That Jaimaican outdated hairstyle that she has worn for the last 30 years without a good shampooing reeks of rat fecies and rancidness. I would imagine she could hide several pistols and and an AK-47 in that mop of hers. Then she should address that big l*****t mouth of hers that never shuts up. Someone needs to check those D******n machines for v***r f***d. There is no way anyone could keep v****g for this skank.
