In an unprecedented flurry of authoritarian activity for a new president, the Hologram has signed 43 executive orders in his first dozen days in office. This from someone who as a candidate claimed that “Trump was a dictator” in signing various executive orders, as noted here:

“I’ve got to get the v**es,” said then-candidate Biden.

“I have this strange notion, we are a democracy … if you can’t get the v**es … you can’t [legislate] by executive order unless you’re a dictator. We’re a democracy. We need consensus,” said Biden.

Yet, it is abundantly clear that Biden is essentially ruling by diktat in reversing dozens of Trump policies – from canceling the Keystone XL Pipeline to enabling “t*********rs” in the armed forces to opening the border (and ceasing construction of the wall) to rejoining the Paris Climate Accords. Others being contemplated could involve curbing Second Amendment rights, a return to the Obama-era Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) with Iran, new politically-oriented domestic terrorism laws, and curbing First Amendment rights including protected political speech on social media.

Many Americans are greatly concerned by the increasing suppression of constitutional rights, as publicly trumpeted by Biden apparatchiks and supporters in the legacy media. Big Tech l*****ts have already “canceled” the social media upstart Parler and suspended thousands of social media accounts of conservatives and Trump supporters. Some Biden supporters, including this PBS lawyer (!) – have even clamored for “reeducation camps” for Trump supporters. And this is just the tip of the iceberg, as the Left are emboldened in these actions because the Biden Administration is entirely sympathetic. How does the secret Democrat-led Senate ethics panel going after Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) for challenging Biden’s E*******l College “win” (as reported here) comport with the Democrats’ pursuit of “unity”? The goal is THEIR definition of unity, which involves suppression of all dissension at all costs. Because their definition decidedly does NOT mean consensus or compromising with Republicans. Always remember that their word definitions are not commonly understood definitions but rather are twisted to service their political objectives!

Back to Biden’s EOs. First of all, executive orders are NOT laws but rather are “pseudo laws,” as explained by the American Bar Association here:

An executive order is a signed, written, and published directive from the President of the United States that manages operations of the federal government. They are numbered consecutively, so executive orders may be referenced by their assigned number, or their topic.

Executive orders are not legislation; they require no approval from Congress, and Congress cannot simply overturn them. Congress may pass legislation that might make it difficult, or even impossible, to carry out the order, such as removing funding. Only a sitting U.S. President may overturn an existing executive order by issuing another executive order to that effect.

[However,] … executive orders … have the force of law, much like regulations issued by federal agencies, so they are codified under Title 3 of the Code of Federal Regulations.

Because EOs have “the force of law” similar to federal rules generated by the administrative state, some Red States have begun to push back. In Texas, Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) filed a lawsuit to stop implementation of an executive order that directs a halt to all deportations of i*****l a***ns during Biden’s first 100 days as president:

According to Paxton, the freeze violates the Constitution and is a violation of federal immigration and administrative law as well as an agreement between the State of Texas and the Department of Homeland Security.

And a federal judge subsequently blocked implementation of that executive order, as reported here. Hurrah for a little Republican lawfare for a change after four years of Democrat filings before friendly l*****t judges to thwart President Trump’s actions!

But that is not all of the push back that is underway. In South Dakota, a state representative introduced a bill that would enable the state attorney general to review and reject p**********l executive orders that violate the Constitution:

The bill takes a broad view, stating that no executive order may be implemented “that restricts a person’s rights.”

The proposed bill would also allow the attorney general to block implementation of any order deemed unconstitutional if the order refers to:

A p******c or other public health emergency

The regulation of natural resources

The regulation of the agricultural industry

The regulation of land use

The regulation of the financial sector through the imposition of environmental, social, or governance standards

The regulation of the constitutional right to keep and bear arms

Excellent! Protection of constitutional rights is vital to the preservation of our constitutional Republic. The Biden administration policy objectives that curtail constitutional rights of Americans must be halted and reversed. Executive orders are ruling by diktat, not by consensus. It is the responsibility of the US Congress to write laws, not the Executive Branch. Executive orders are another manifestation of the administrative state – in this case by the Office of the President, bypassing Congress to implement policy through “pseudo law.” The practice has gotten out of hand and needs to be curtailed. More states need to pursue what South Dakota is doing.

Joe Biden’s Left-Wing Start
Posted Tuesday, February 2, 2021

Joe Biden is off to the most left-wing start of any Democratic president in recent memory.

The dulcet tones of Biden’s inaugural address already seem an artifact of a bygone era. Republicans will hammer him for the rest of his presidency for failing to deliver on his unifying message, but the fact is that Biden is governing as he promised — further to the left of his own record, further to the left of Barack Obama, and further to the left of any Democrat who made his career prior to the ascendency of the cultural left.

It’s not new for Democrat presidents to want to tax, spend, and regulate, even if Biden seeks to do more of all three than his immediate predecessors did. Biden layers on top of this a cultural agenda that represents a new dimension of radicalism that would be alien and baffling to past Democrats, who may have wanted to extend the New Deal but never sought to transcend the g****r binary.

Biden has proved willing, too, to go it alone via rapid-fire, unilateral executive actions.

If Lyndon Johnson gave us the Great Society, he came to office seeking to fulfill the legacy of his martyred predecessor, which included passing a tax cut. Once elected in his own right in 1964, Johnson embarked on a spate of federal activism that no subsequent Democrat has matched, although Johnson largely enacted his priorities the old-fashioned way, by passing bills through Congress, and operated in a much more culturally conservative country and party.

Jimmy Carter, who ran as a Southern moderate and stumbled out of the gate, doesn’t really rate.

Bill Clinton and Barack Obama were both ambitious, but they also cared about the budget deficit and allowed it to restrain their agenda in a way that the Biden Democrats now totally reject.

If Clinton pushed the envelope on health care (ultimately getting nowhere), the signature economic initiative of his early administration was a deficit-reduction measure. Obama passed a blowout spending stimulus bill in his first months, although the imperative not to allow it to exceed about $800 billion seems quaint in retrospect.

Biden is out of the box with a proposed $1.9 trillion relief bill that includes a $15-an-hour minimum wage that not too long ago was the pipe dream of his party’s socialist wing, as well as a massive bailout of states and localities. Biden campaigned on a $4 trillion tax increase that one sympathetic observer has said would be “one of the largest wealth t***sfers in American history.” Meanwhile, he’s filling positions beneath the cabinet level with progressives with a mandate to increase regulation across the board.

All of this is augmented by new progressive causes that were just beginning to get a foothold back in the Clinton and Obama years.

You are the one destroying the Constitution. So stop destroying it.
Trump has been impeached twice within the boundaries of the constitution.
It wasn’t illegal. Trump is a tyrant. A t*****r, a Liar and a thief.
This may be more than you can understand but the majority believes. it.
If you can’t accept what has happened within the guidelines of the constitution then what is it you are defending ?
Stop complaining about what the majority believes and try to figure out you are so far from them.

It is amazing how you can be so IGNORANT!. Nearly all of Trump's EOs were about policy and did not legislate. Biden on the other hand is acting just like a dictator (his own definition) by enacting legislation through EOs. 80 percent of the population think they know the Constitution, what it says, and what it means. But like you, they only know what leftism says about it and believe in a living constitution. It may be the 21st century but human nature hasn't changed and the quest for power is now greater than ever from l*****t progressive Marxists.

Go away troll. You never add anything worthwhile or substantial to any thread. I would say go back to school except this is probably where you learned all you nonsense.

Rose, I'll bet he doesn't even know what EOs and EA's Biden has signed. The mainstream media is conspicuously silent about these but everyone knows Biden's favorite ice cream is chocolate chip, and the names of his dogs. Biden's approval polls are much lower than Trump's at the same point in his presidency. Not at all a popular president with very poor ratings and The Trumpicans warned about what would happen. We ain't seen nothing yet. Trump backed down with any EOs that the courts told him he couldn't do.

Trumps EOs were not about policy.
They were about as we see now dismantling a working democratic government.
What happened to all the money that was appropriated to the government offices that were closed. How did trump personally benefit ? He was such a quid pro quo guy. What did he get for allowing coal companies to dump their sludge anywhere they wanted ?lakes streams, your backyards.
Youz should be getting smarter but it looks like you may be incapable.

He Lost !
