She's a trooper and she's glad not to be in some frelling HOME! She has her kitty cats and her comforts but I'm afraid she's going to succumb to dementia like her mom. She has the signs. It will get much harder for me then. She's a diabetic too. She's almost gone into shock a time or two.
She inhaled a Skittle not long ago while we were returning from Carson City.
I was driving and whacked her once good on the back while pulling off the road at the same time...
20 seconds tops...
25 seconds and I was out the driver's side door and had hers open...
She'd coughed up the Skittle by then and showed it to me...
...I've known for 10 years at least it would end up this way.
I'm the only one of her kids with nothing to lose.
It's easy to send Ma to the old folks' home when you think you have something to lose!
