Probably a good idea. They have better reaction time. I am still able to drive really well (everyone thinks that, not of me but of themself) but I don't have to deal with winters as you have. I used to love nighttime driving. Not so much now. More people on the roads at all hours.

True story:
My father was five days shy of his 92nd birthday when he died. He had lost his license about a year earlier. That didn't stop him, however. He was arrogant about this, and as a retired cop, no big surprise there, he kept driving anyway! After he lost his license he said he could drive better than 2/3rds of the i***ts on the road. I responded, "so that puts you in the 67th percentile of i***ts." He almost cut me out of his will for that (I could be arrogant, too). One day he took the car and went off somewhere (I thought I had hidden all of his car keys. Apparently not all of them). I called the Sheriff's Dept. and informed them of the situation and what he was driving. I was hoping they would at least see him, stop him, and put the fear of God in him. They asked if I wanted to make a stolen car report. "Well, I can't. The vehicle is registered and titled in his name." That was the extent of it all. They didn't seem very interested. I learned that 39% of all drivers in So Cal were either driving without a valid license, insurance, or registration. One favorite tactic used by some unlicensed i******s was to buy an old car with current recent tags on it, never register or insure the vehicle, and if they wreck it, they just walk away. Anyway, I decided then and there to increase my liability insurance to $1,000,000 from $300,000. It doesn't cost that much more but losing your home does. People driving around with minimum liability put themselves at great risk of being sued and the insurance companies won't help them in these situations. The insurance companies will just pay off the $30,000-$50,000 and from there on you are on your own.

Take care.

Firing the white house staff does them a favor. Obviously Biden can re-instate them all, and no foul. If they were ready to retire or can't stand the thought of serving Biden they can collect unemployment, since they don't have to quit.

Biden had stated that he didn't want the chief usher because he had been hired by Trump and had previously worked for the Trump organization. He didn't want to leave the job, he loved it and what it stood for. He actually lobbied to keep his job. Biden would have been smarter if he had terminated the chief usher after the inauguration, rather than before.

Slo Joe mandated that the word "chief" be expunged from our White House because it is derogatory to Indians. Joe is replacing the chef's food sniffing with hair sniffing.

Yeah, I get a little of that from him. Midwestern attitude. It's the Irish in us. My Grandfather, his father, was known as the stubbornest man in South Dakota, back in the 1920s. I never met him as he died very shortly after I was born.

We just got rain yesterday, and hail at sea-level elevations. The mountains have a fresh coat of snow. Beautiful!

Take care and stay well.
