Is it in the Best Interest of the United States to Continue Membership in the United Nations

The United Nations is headquartered in New York City and the United States is the largest single financial contributors since its inception in 1945. According to The Heritage Foundation, the US currently is assessed 22 percent of the U.N. regular budget and more than 27 percent of the U.N. peacekeeping budget. In dollar terms, the Administration’s budget for FY 2011 requested $516.3 million for the U.N. regular budget and more than $2.182 billion for the peacekeeping budget.

My questions is what does the US receive in return? Why is the US continuing its lion's share contribution when the UN general assembly actively opposes US positions and seeks treaties such as the following:

1) Treaty of the Sea

http://www.unlawoftheseatreaty.org/

2)Arms Trade Treaty

http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2014/01/dangers-of-un-arms-trade-treaty-begin-to-surface

3)UN AGenda 21

4) UN Convention on Rights of the Child

Any organization that actively promotes encroaching on US Sovereignty and decisions made by our country for our country can not be good for us. What say you?

No, it is not in our best interest.

Having said that, you can watch the UN quickly leave the US continent if they were told the headquarters was being moved to Lebanon, KS. You might wonder at my choice. Lebanon, KS is 2.6 miles from the geographic center of the continental US. They enjoy living the high life in NYC while many in their homes countries are starving and living a subsidence life.

The U.N. exists for only two reasons; to drive little white SUV's all over hell like they are doing something useful and...to strip the United States of it's wealth.

Why the headquarters need to be in the U.S. is beyond my understanding. They should not be welcome here in any official capacity. However, if it must on U.S. territory I v**e for Nome, Alaska or Wake Island, both great fun spots... ;)

==================================

It's way past time to get the US out of the UN and to get the UN out of the US.

A few patriots like Ron Paul have been trying for years to accomplish this.

I favor moving them to Haiti, Nigeria, or Afghanistan

They want the advantages of being in the US, hence my idea to just move them to KS. They would bolt so fast we would need a chiropractor for whip lash.
