I don’t see that healing has begun. Biden had a nice speech prepared for him but right now they are just words. Time will tell if he can lead for the first time in his life. We have to all pray for him to do whats right for country first. He may surprise us.

As well you should be. Pelosi is submitting a Bill, that among other things, lowers the v****g age to 16. I was born during the reign of FDR and if I recall correctly there has been more than one time in that period that we heard the same things said during each e******n. My parents were hardcore Rep but I have forgone both the Rep and Dem parties as I think there may be better alternatives. (Even though the third parties never win there have been two that mad good gains) Life will continue and the same saga will head up the news in 2024. My firm belief is that there are too many entrenched people in Washington that spend so much time running for office that they cannot truly represent the people they are elected by.
I disagree with your last sentence as I think the chasm is greater than ever. At least as bad as in 1860 but maybe not.
