Big tech should have stopped the lies sooner.
Does freedom of speech require others to provide you a platform to spread lies? What if someone posts a story on Facebook or twitter that claims dogs spread C***d to children and that anyone with a dog should shoot it and burn its corpse by soaking it with gasoline and lighting it on fire. Certainly no newspaper in the country would publish such nonsense and for damn good reason. However if it spreads V***lly on Facebook or Twitter It will result in a lot of dogs needlessly shot and burned across our nations finest trailer parks. If the post claims to be from Q***n the smoke from dog fires would darken the skies. Obviously it would be important for the companies to stop the spread of such a lie. Why shouldn’t they stop the spread of other equally dangerous lies and ban people who insist on making such posts?
