Damned if he is, damned if he isn't...that said a self pardon is waving a red f**g and sure to bring investigations and prosecution as challenges to the notion of self pardons.
How about the idea of a pardon that eliminates a tax debt...does anyone think that flies?
IRS simply goes after the new year for the taxes that have been owed all along, an audit is an audit and anything they find is fair game.
And do you think yelling and screaming about the government using the IRS as a weapon makes any difference? No court can give someone who owes taxes a pass because IRS is actually going after it.
