BREAKING NEWS: Twitter permanently suspends Trump’s account

Twitter permanently suspended President Donald Trump’s account Friday, saying he had repeatedly violated its policies on glorification of violence.

"After close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account and the context around them — specifically how they are being received and interpreted on and off Twitter — we have permanently suspended the account due to the risk of further incitement of violence," Twitter said in a statement Friday afternoon.

Two days after throngs of his supporters staged a violent rampage through the Capitol, the social media company said Trump broke its rules yet again. This came even after the company had publicly warned Wednesday that additional violations would result in his indefinite expulsion.

I'm all for free speech but they should ban ALL social media as it is 100% BS, has gotten way out of hand and is exactly what is k*****g this country. Would what happened last summer and what happened two days ago have happened at all without it? Think about that for a sec.

Yes, last summer would have happened without social media. Wednesday would have happened without social media. The civil war happened without social media. 1900 progressive movement happened without social media. The rise of Hitler happened without social media. McCarthyism happened without social media. 1960's protests happened without social media. Social media is the tool. Not the problem.

Good points, except I don't believe that Wednesday would've happened if not for social media.

No one lost their freedom to spew the vile crap that trump has been posting for 4 years except trump. Using any platform as a tool for o*******wing a valid and legal e******n or in trumps case o*******wing a government as a propaganda outlet should not be available to presidents.
Twitter should never have been a viable outlet for p**********l business.
