A Practical Suggestion for the Biden Team If Unity Is Your Goal
Posted Jan 02, 2021 by Michael L. Brown

As a Donald Trump v**er in 2016 and 2020, I was disappointed in the results of the e******n. At the same time, that’s the way our system works, as long as it is conducted fairly. One candidate wins, the other candidate loses, and the winning candidate becomes our president, whether we like it or not. But what if there is no confidence that the e******ns were conducted fairly? Will the losers accept the results?

If I were in Joe Biden’s shoes, as he officially stands as our president-elect, I would not want any taint over my presidency, especially right out of the gate. I would not want tens of millions of people believing that I won by fraud, that I s***e the e******n, that I am not legitimate.

Instead, I would want to be able to say to America, “I know that many of you are bitterly disappointed by the results, as happens to one side every four years. But this is our how system works. The people have spoken, and I am here to serve as your president, the president of every American.”

Right now, he cannot do that, since a cloud hangs over the e******n results. And now that Sen. Ted Cruz and a number of his colleagues will be calling for an emergency, 10-day audit of the v****g, this is a perfect opportunity for President-elect Biden to say, “I’m all in. Let’s do this. I want complete t***sparency. On with the audit!”

It was announced on Saturday that, “A group of GOP senators led by Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, will object to the J*** 6 certification of the p**********l e******n results next week unless there is an emergency 10-day audit of the results by an e*******l commission.”

Rather than looking at this as yet another distraction, Joe Biden and his team, which by extension includes Democratic Senators and Representatives, should call for this as well.

Why not delay the normal e******n process by a few days? Why not set something in motion that the whole nation can trust, and of which, in advance, all sides can say, “We will abide by the outcome of this investigation.”

The specific proposal is that “Congress should immediately appoint an E*******l Commission, with full investigatory and fact-finding authority, to conduct an emergency 10-day audit of the e******n returns in the disputed states. Once completed, individual states would evaluate the Commission’s findings and could convene a special legislative session to certify a change in their v**e, if needed.”

You might say, “This is beyond ridiculous. Everyone knows Biden won decisively, and that’s why the courts, including the Supreme Court, have rejected almost every case brought by Trump’s team to date. There is zero evidence of fraud.”

Then why not agree to the 10-day audit? What could you possibly lose?

It’s like the little boy who did not eat the cookie telling his mother, “Mommy, look at my teeth, look at my hands, check my pockets. I didn’t eat it!”

In contrast, the little boy who did eat the cookie doesn’t want to show his hands or open his mouth for fear of crumbs being found. Instead, he starts crying, “Mommy, you’re hurting my feelings. Why don’t you trust me?”

In this case, the Biden team would have nothing to lose and everything to gain in terms of solidifying his victory, as tens of millions of Trump v**ers would have to accept the legitimacy of the outcome. To say no to this is to guarantee that most of these v**ers will reject his presidency outright.

Some of you will say, “He’ll never do that because he was part of the fraud.” Others will say, “Well, the Democrats never accepted Trump's presidency.”

My point, then would be this. He will be shouting to the world, “I was not part of any fraud,” by agreeing to the audit. And he would be making an appeal: “Yes, I know that my side of the aisle challenged Donald Trump’s presidency from day one, and it tore our country apart. Let’s dig deeper into the v**e, let’s be sure the results were fair, and then let’s move on together.”

Why not?

I understand that some Trump v**ers would still believe the e******n was s****n even if the contrary were conclusively demonstrated. This would especially be the case if Trump himself continued to fan the flames.

So, let’s take this one step further. What if Biden said, “If Donald Trump will agree to accept the final results of this audit, then I’m going to call for it as well”?

Then, as long as there was complete t***sparency in the audit and Senators like Cruz and Josh Hawley, who already planned to protest on J****** 6th, led the way in backing this, a massive amount of doubt would be removed.

You might say, “But this establishes a dangerous precedent. Are we going to do this every four years?”

I would say in reply: 1) this was a very unusual e******n; 2) a significant percentage of the population believes there was fraud; 3) we need to learn from this and conduct our e******ns more carefully in the future.

So, Team Biden, what do you say? Why not lead a bipartisan call for this emergency audit? You have a lot to gain and nothing to lose, especially if it’s a slam dunk audit in your favor.

Come the day of your inauguration, you’ll be glad you did, as long as you won fairly.

It will never be solved to the satisfaction of Trump v**ers. Only reinstalling him would be enough. Even though, despite 50+ opportunities to show why he didn't, HE LOST.
His supporters will never abide by the outcome of this e******n. That's why enough is enough. We don't install wannabe dick-taters. We elect them...and then we unelect them.

If you let trump himself count every v**e in every state ,check every signature,do what ever he wanted ,and found nothing ,he would never still admit he lost. That's trump he has never in his life admitted he lost at anything ,even when he lost. And his followers will never believe he lost ,no matter if a commission investigates and investigates ,and tell, his followers no fruad ,they will never believe it.

Biden could care less about integrity, nor do many who v**ed for him, such as those on this forum! They have whined for 4 long years about Hillary losing.........one thing and one thing only matters and that is WINNING!

Has anyone on this forum heard or read of any liberal agree to a honest audit or investigation of any kind before the inauguration that would even suggest a delay? They are not about to risk Trump being re-elected! They will stop at nothing to destroy this President!

From Obama on the Democrat party has become more dangerous to the future of America, until now when Soros and other C*******ts have almost total control of the Democrat party.

There have been so many irregularities and anomalies with this e******n. E******n laws were changed by unelected bureaucrats and judges. E******n laws can only be changed by the legislature under the Constitution. If we want to keep mail-in v****g, we need to tighten up the safeguards. Use the same controls as currently used for absentee b****ts. Require a residential address for any v***r r**********n. Have a cut-off date for registering to v**e allowing the e******n office time to validate the registration. If a problem comes up on the registration, contact the v**er giving them a specified period of time to correct the registration. When a v**er moves and registers at their new address, they need to give their prior address so the e******n office can remove their old registration. This would help maintain up to date v**er rolls. It would also eliminate the possibility of someone v****g in multiple jurisdictions. V****g machines cannot have any ability to be connected to the internet. Seals need to be put on machines to guarantee they haven't been tampered with once they are set up for the e******n. Random audits of the machines need to be done to assure that they are operating within the legal parameters for errors and accuracy. If there was c***ting involved with Biden's e******n, I don't expect those behind the steal will ever allow the data to be released, but it would be good to have it released to independent auditors chosen by both parties to evaluate the e******n data. This could reveal other ways to make our e******ns more secure. We may never be able to eliminate all fraud, but we can minimize it and continue to eliminate paths of fraud every time we find it. This should be something that can be agreed upon by everyone. The only ones who wouldn't want to agree would be those who desire to exploit weaknesses in the system for their own gains.

Nice idea, but I'm sure the fix is in for any new audit. It seems that everyone in DC has something on someone else so the primary concern now is to avoid finger pointing because once it starts everything turns to s**t and no one escapes.
