Banks Want to Legally Refuse to Do Business with Conservative Gun Owners
January 8, 2021
The banking sector is hoping to convince congress to make it legal for them to refuse to do business with gun companies, or conservatives, or anyone else who does not toe the far-left agenda.
The Treasury Department’s Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) recently proposed a rule that would require banks to do business with any lawful business, including gun manufacturers. After all, why shouldn’t they? Guns are not only legal, they are protected by the U.S. Constitution.
But banks are working to destroy the Second Amendment and they want the color of law to excuse their attack on the Constitution and the nation.
The Bank Policy Institute argues that the new rule would “effectively replace the traditional business of American banking,” adding that it would require banks to take on risk and barring them from “using subjective judgment and qualitative considerations, including reputational risk, in deciding whether to provide a financial service.” A group of 12 Democratic lawmakers concurred, saying that the proposed rule would hamper the ability of banks to make comprehensive assessments of businesses.
But Democrats prefer to promulgate their left-wing agenda.
“Propping up an industry with falling revenue because its business cannot provide competitive prices is antithetical to the free-market capitalism on which our country thrives,” Democratic lawmakers wrote in a letter to the Treasury.
The whole reason for the proposed rule was a response to the announcement by a group of banks that they intended to stop doing business with those whose politics they don’t like.
Now that the extreme left is set to take over the federal government, look to see the banks given the ability place the l*****t agenda ahead of the law.
Make no mistake, conservatives. THIS is what they want to do to all non-l*****ts.

You have kind of been lead to think we are all want gun control,a lot of that is what you have been fed for your v**e. Yes there is some people on the left that wants some gun controls but at that there are some people on the right that also want gun control. I can bet you that the people on the left have as many or more guns as the right. If banks tryed to do what your saying how long do you think they would be in business?

Be careful, be very very careful of making threats.
The country is in no mood for this kind of reckless rhetoric.

I have made no threat. Just a suggestion.

And just who are these banks? Name names, personally I belong to a credit union.

Me too, and I was thinking perhaps this policy is best for Credit Unions. Having dealt with banks in my position as Revenue Agent, I find them to be ridiculous. They charge for every service they perform, and minimize the amount they pay. They would not loan me $5000.00 with an excellent credit score and good job, and plenty of collateral, but they would have lent me $50000 on my signature-that was the limit on the credit card I had------bad decision making. Unless you can show you do not need the loan, they will not consider it.
My Credit Union, on the other hand charges -0- for services, pays interest, and there is no minimum for my checking or savings account. I am an owner of that credit union, and can attend annual meetings, v**e for officers on the board, and get excellent service. I certainly do not care what banks do-have not done business with a bank since 1983!

I am pretty much on the right, but I have no doubt that many on the Left have guns, and even "assault weapons", wh**ever that is. I know because many in my family are military vets, well trained and own weapons-more than one- and they are politically far left. I even have a retired cop in my family. I have handled guns of all types since I was a kid-hunting for squirrels, shooting beer cans off fence posts, shooting rats at the Town dump, and even did some bow and arrow target practice for deer hunting.
Would not have one now, because I shake too much to safely hold or shoot any weapon. But I don't know of anyone on the right who thinks lefties do not own guns. The left is notorious for "do as I say, not as I do", so of course they have guns. They simply want to take ours, is all. Talking about the left in government, not the left in general.
