Because we are a nation that worships money over everything else. Look at our stock market--it didn't skip a beat. The Economy will be fine as for culture...why does it matter?

I remember a movie some years ago, maybe 15 years or more, but I can't remember the name. And it was a really lousy movie, but it did have this one really funny scene in it. A group of insurgent fighters (probably in Afghanistan) is laying in wait, behind boulders and hidden from view, for either an ambush or to be attacked by American troops. Their leader needed someone to do something for him and call for him to come to his position by calling out his name, Mohammad, to come to assist him. Every one of the insurgents appears from his hiding place, and he signals them all to return back to their hidden positions. Then he calls for Mohammad Hussein, and they all jump out from their hiding place again. I just though it was a funny anecdote.
