Obama Says it Wasn’t His “Decision” to Pull Troops from Iraq

Oh My Goodness...

President Obama now wants the American people to think that he didn’t actually want to pull out of Iraq!

In an important expose for the New Yorker, the failures of the Obama administration to show any foresight or leadership played a major role in the destruction of a stable Iraq.

But Joel Gehrke from the National Review Online made an even more shocking discovery when he pulled this quote.

President Obama refused to take responsibility for the lack of U.S. troops in Iraq, saying that American soldiers had to pull out due to political pressure from Iraqi leaders.

“This issue keeps on coming up as if this was my decision,” Obama retorted when asked if he had any second thoughts, in light of the terrorist force taking over regions of Iraq, about having pulled all American troops out of the country.

“The reason that we did not have a follow-on force in Iraq was because a majority of Iraqis did not want U.S. troops there and politically they could not pass the kind of laws that would be required to protect our troops in Iraq,” he said.

Um.

President Obama must have forgotten his campaign promise to pull our troops out of Iraq ASAP if elected.

Never mind that our col. over the division stationed in Iraq asked for 24,000 troops to be left behind. And he was given 6,000. If not for those 6,000 I doubt we would be doing anything. His bro Ma!in is a Sunni terrorist, why would he go against his kin? It is crazy, having a Muslim sympathetic president. And people who v**ed for him? They, should ask God for forgiveness. They are accessories to Christian genocide.

He did, in the same conversation, say that we needed to keep a presence in Iraq, which means troops. The Iraqi Gov. refused to sign a security agreement, authorizing us to do just that. Part of it's the fault of our own State Dept., but the bulk belongs on Iraqi shoulders. As to pulling out at all, that was in the plans from when Bush went in.

haha! That's just "politics as usual". Come to think of it, we're all like that, to one extent or the other.

He got elected by promising to be different, but instead has taken it to a new level. Just like his phony promise to be the most t***sparent administration in history.

Well, once you add multiple layers of t***sparency, you get a blurry picture. Good tactic that.

I disagree with your assessment. There is a pattern, almost like a rulebook, that is followed by progressives and that is so predictable. While I know you can point to exceptions both ways, I think if you're open-minded and honest, you'll see that placing blame is the first thing the liberals will turn to.

"It was that video."

"It was some rogue agents in Cincinnati."

"It was Bush's fault."

And so on ...

Watch for this: Whenever a liberal is accused of wrongdoing, he will immediately say something like, "...well, Bush did it too."

Remember when we were little and you mom would say, "Why did you do that?" And you would reply, "Well, Johnny did it too." And then your mom would say, "If Johnny jumped off a cliff I guess you would too?

Conservatives grew up and came to realize that never worked so they gave it up. Liberals haven't grown up yet.

I'm not a "leftie", but that is of no matter, as it's obvious that you have no real clue about what you're saying. Listening to and believing the partisan rhetoric, only makes one look silly. President Bush originally had a time table of 2011 for troop withdrawal. I don't believe he engaged in any "chest thumping", but neither has President Obama.

This goes to the old quote that came up when Clinton was President, but for a different reason.

"Character Matters"

it was bushes time table that obama went by.but bush would have sized up the situation and kept them there ,but obama just pulled them out knowing full well what was going to happen.one other great achievement was putting the egyptian pres out of office ,this led to the arab spring and bengazi.he turned all of north africa ove rto radicals .
