They pay the most taxes, but a smaller percentage than the middle class. They make about 70% of the money in this country and pay about 50% of the taxes.

How does that change my question? If they're in control, why pay so much? Also, if you are going to use the 70% of the money earned you'll need to use far more than 50% of the taxes paid - but either way - why pay if they're in control?

Also, we have never lived in a democracy. If we were, then we would not have a house and senate. If we did, they would both be Democrat controlled. (a million more dems v**ed in the last e******ns than repubs.)

Check out the definition of federalism and representative democracy - and if anyone ever told you America was a pure democracy they did you a serious dis-service.

Because, do you remember the European monarchies that paid no taxes? Especially the French. They learned to pay some, but not their fare share.

Just because people use a word does not make the word true. America is not and has never been a democracy - it has been and remains a representative federation.

Paying some is not paying most - and fair share is a very subjective concept. Again, if the rich are in control why are they not paying some instead of most?

Who is what as a percentage of what? Again, why are the rich paying the majority of the income taxes if they have control over the country? Perhaps they are just generous.

So has every tyrant. Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin and the likes. When ever power is consolidated in one group or person you have a tyrannical government. No checks, no balances. I you are a Dum rat you may not like that it all the 3 branches are REPUBLICAN as very well may be in the next term.

You almost cannot get the presidency. There were a million more demo v**ers last e******n than Repubs. Even the new v**er laws wont keep them out. But, you will probably get the senate this term.

I've heard that plenty, but no proof and no prosecutions. And yes most people do v**e their party affiliation most of the time.

The tax is is on money. More money more taxes.

If you have a bigger stake in the game (More income) It is only right that you pay more in taxes.

So would you have most people with the most income pay a smaller % in taxes than those with less income.

The is already the case. It depends on how you get your income. Check the tax laws.

This is true what modicum of democracy We've attained has had to be fought for and lost several times over. Liberalism and Democracy's latest death occurred 40 years ago And may never regained given the extent of global capitalism
