They really were instrumental in the genre.

Boy was I stoned when I first heard this...on a quadraphonic system! I was in HS then.

I have a couple of Kraftwerk albums. They were a little different for sure. Used to listen to them and Tangerine Dream. As well as Hawkwind. Many days gone by. Still listen to them occasionally. The kind of music that's made for 'shrooms.

Thanks for this. SO many great bands no one has heard of. I'd heard of Kraftwerks but had never listened til now. People are missing out on SO much GREAT music due to radio!!! Sad!

Wow! does this bring back memories! Makes me want to dig out my old vinyl's and listen to them all over again.
Thanks for reminding me about a great group I haven't listened to for quite some time. Maybe because I don't get stoned. I used to love putting them on the turntable and listen with stereo headphones, late at night, sitting back in a comfortable chair, just absorbing the music, letting my mind flow with it all. It really clears the minds.

I had them on 8 Track tape. I was living in Chattanooga, TN and working off shore on a drilling rig out of Houma, LA. I listened to them a lot on those trips. Down to LA one week and back up to TN the next.

Here's a song I used to like a lot. It's the Ohio Players doing Magic Trick. It was a theme for a movie. It's worth a listen.

Tangerine Dream...Christopher Franke did the music for the Babylon 5 TV series.

Funny but a lot of youngsters are rediscovering old white boy music. You see them tripping on it all over YouTube.

I was a mere pup when they made this stuff. Too late, as usual.

It is the best version of Autobahn. None of the rest are as good.

I think it was an 8-track I first heard it on too. Giving Ohio Players a listen. I liked Brick House.
